For Perkins and Reggie Jackson.I would take back Jackson, Lamb, Or Perry Jones. But Jackson Would fill a need at point for us short term.

For the Thunder there adding two rotation guys to a championship level team. Bass could really help them they are thin at PF. Lee would also shore up there Two guard spot. It's going to be tough to count on Lamb alone come playoff time.

We are also doing them a favor for taking back Perks bad contract. For us we don't get much other than unload some hefty contracts and get back a decent young prospect. I think a win, win.

I can't see OKC doing that trade at all.  They take on more salary on longer contracts and give up a prospect for a backup PF and a third string SG.  Just don't see it happening.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Perkins is really on decline right now..
Bass is so consistent in shooting and Lee is hitting his shots... so i'll pass for this offer
unless it's for Durant to Bass & Lee :P

Why would they give up a prospect just to move Perkins?  If they really want his contract off the books, they could just amnesty him and keep all of their assets in the process. The return they'd get with Bass and Lee isn't enough to justify moving one of their young guys.

With that said, I think they could use a move. Maybe Ibaka + Jackson or PJ3 + a draft pick to Portland for Lamarcus Aldridge.

Isn't Ibaka just a glorified role player? He's like an Asik. Cant justify givimg up someome like Aldridge for that as a centerpiece.

How do you rate Jackson and PJ3? Higher, lower or the same as guys like AB and Sully?

I think you're severely underrating Ibaka. He's a two time All-Defense first teamer who has led the league in blocked shots the past 2 years. Consider the fact that he just turned 24 and he's made leaps each of the last two 2 seasons, I don't know if you'll find a better trade piece in the league that already is somehwhat proven, but still has potential.

As far as Jackson, I'd rate him about the same as Avery.. PJ3 below Sully.

I'm inclined to see how things play out with Crawford and Pressey at the point. Bass is playing well and might just end up getting us a draft pick or post-prospect at a more useful position.

To me it's not just to move Perkins.  If they amnesty him next summer, that's fine, but they'd still be over the cap, so they couldn't replace his salary.  At most it would give them a little more cushion under the luxury tax if they really wanted to avoid that, but they'll probably be pretty under it anyway.  Now, you can debate whether Bass and Lee are the right players for them to add, and that's an entirely different story, but I think there's a pretty good argument that they, and a number of other reserve/role players, are better than Perk.  If Lee's deal were only through next year, and not one more year beyond that, I could see OKC doing something like that (while also sending Ryan Gomes so they stay under the luxury cap.  I think the biggest impediment is Lee's deal.
