I wouldn't do it. If that's the best offer, keep Rondo.
However, it may show a few things:
1. Injuries drop a non-"franchise" guy. Rose, out all last year, still would have had elite trade value. Perhaps if someone is not all-nba type of talent, they slide far when they are injured.
2. If this is an accurate pulse of the league (i'm skeptical) maybe it shows that Rondo's value is a lot less than we all think it is. Probably the truth is somewhere in between.
3. With the rules and talent these days, maybe the value of PG's is a lot lower than we think. Because of easier penetration and rules favoring athleticism, lots of 6'0 - 6'2 guys enter the league on rookie contracts and can give you 75-95% of what Rondo or Rose (depending on style) give you at much cheaper. So why trade an established asset and a couple picks for Rondo when there's a decent chance one of those picks you give up could give you 85% of Rondo level production and just keep all the assets?
