Still complete and utter conjecture on your part.

I know I worked with people for years at jobs and never spoke with them out of work or had their phone numbers. I didn't have personal problems. I just never became friends enough with them to bother.

Sully is guessing. Danny Ainge has stated publicly that he expects Rondo back to start the season.

BTW, its illegal for doctors to discuss the medical conditions of other patients without permission from the patient.

Sully has already said that Green and Rondo have been two of his closest teammates due to all of them rehabbing from something major. That doesn't necessarily mean they're best friends or anything, but they certainly have a relationship beyond being co-workers who don't really bother with each other.

Furthermore, Ainge has gone back on his word so many times that you should know by now to never take what he has to say seriously. It's important to consider that Sullinger is saying this after KG/Pierce have expressed doubt about Rondo returning by the season opener.

Now, I'm not saying Rondo is or isn't going to return by opening day. I'm not even sure Rondo has a target date in mind right now. We can only wait and see. Your opinion is as much of a "complete and utter conjecture" as chambers'.

Which part of nickagneta's comment is conjecture?

He describes his own work life experience.

He then (factually) restates what Ainge said.

He doesn't seem to assert anything other than that "Sully is guessing".    Okay - I guess you could say that THAT part is 'conjecture'.  For all we know, Sully is not guessing.  But it seems a reasonable assertion, given the tentative nature of Sullinger's words.

Never said my opinion was anything more than conjecture but I will still trust the head's of the franchise who is paying Rondo's salary public statements before players who don't pay his salary. And Ainge's past statements being accurate, which they sometimes are purposely misleading but most of the time not, is predicated on what he knows at any given time. Right now, based on what he knows, his stance is Rondo is expected back by season's start. Until I hear differently from him or Rondo himself, I'm going by that, not Sully's or Pierce's guesses.

Could also be a ploy of DA to sell season tickets or something. I mean, he's told us before that KGs injury was minor and he'd be back (2009) and he also told us that he expected Shaq would be back when he traded Perk for Green, even though it was revealed much later on that everyone already knew at the time that he wouldn't. If anything, I'd take Sully's opinion more than DA's. Plus, this interview came much later than DA's statement, so there's that.

As you would expect people are reading WAY too much into this.  Sounds to me like nothing has changed.  They are hoping he is back by opening day but that could move a bit. BY December would infer that it could happen sooner than December.  Sounds more like a worse case scenario situation Sullinger is referring to.

Doesnt really matter except for our draft position. There will be about a 10 game swing of 25-35 depending mostly on how much Rondo plays and just a little how well the rest of the team plays.

I would say that the truth lies somewhere between training camp and December. If he doesnt play in preseason games or participate in the informal practices before camp like last year then we have to assume Sullinger was telling something close to the truth.

I do seriously think Sullinger wouldnt have said a thing about Rondo making a return in a certain time frame unless he believed he knew the truth. I guess this could be a measurement of his reliability going forward couldnt it?
