2. He's never played more than 74 games in a season. In his career, he has played 67, 62, 60, 70, 29, 69, 74, 62, and 65 games in a year. Out of 722 possible regular season games, he's only played 558 (77%). For someone who is only 28 years old, that's not a very good trend.
Hard to really judge his first several years in the league when he was only playing about 10mpg. I'm sure there's a lot of DNP-CD's mixed in there.
And to be fair, the season he played 62 games was a 66 game season, that's the equivalent of a 77 game season. Other guys with similar trends (Kevin Love, Joakim Noah) we'd all take in a heartbeat without even worrying about their ability to stay healthy.
74, 77*, and 65 over the last 3 isn't that bad, pretty typical I think. Over the last 3 years (*with the 66 game season converted to its 82 game equivalent), this is what some major players did:
Rondo did 68, 65*, 38.
Garnett did 71, 75*, 68
Pierce did 80, 76*, 77
Josh Smith did 77, 82*, 76
Carmelo did 77, 68*, 67
LeBron did 79, 77*, 76
David West did 70, 82*, 73
Kevin Love did 73, 68*, 18
Chris Paul did 80, 75*, 70
Joakim Noah did 48, 80*, 66
Lamarcus Aldridge did 81, 68*, 74
