Doc is going to do well there, but he won't win anything. He already delivered them CP3, so he's off to a good start.

That is kind of how I view it. They basically traded a late 2015 draft pick for the rights to sign Chris Paul to a max contract. I know it wasn't a given that Paul was leaving, but it was starting to look that way.

Expectations of Doc are going to be too high. Clippers fans and media should just be happy that they will remain a major factor for the foreseeable future [with or w/o Doc].

I agree. They're setting the bar TOO high and should just give it a couple of yrs. The West is way more competitive than the East and they're getting better this yr.

I wish Doc success in delivering the C's a high draft pick in 2015.
this.  I think Doc's vastly overrated.  hoping he lives down to my expectations of him and we get a sweet pick from them that year.

No need to be ****y, guys.
I wish him the best. As far as I'm concerned,  I don't care if it succeed or not. I'm focusing on Brad now and our youngs and rookies.

I agree with you 100% However, I do hope they lose every game the following year because I want that 1st round pick to be as high as possible.

Well I'm not one to blatantly hate a coach for doing his own thing and leaving one organization for another. I'm sure there's plenty of people that would take a job in a better position for oneself with the same pay, equitable pay, what-have-you, over a situation they don't wanna be in. I'm also not one to argue the decision Doc or the Celtics organization made so I hope no one wastes their time trying to argue with my opinion.

Doc was a great coach that HELPED deliver us a championship. We all know it wouldn't have happened without the Big 3 but Doc was as integral a part as the rest of the bench, the organization, etc. He was a fun coach to watch with the media and I wish him the best in LA.

Anyone who thinks the Clipper will somehow be worse off than before...well I'll just say send me some of those drugs because I don't remember any part of the Clippers organization promising a championship with Doc's arrival. Doc is most certainly an upgrade over VDN.

Umm I don't think anyone said the Clippers would be worse, but the LA media and fans are playing this up and guaranteeing a championship. The organization may not have said it,but the media is already asking is the Clippers the  elite team in the West to beat.

I imagine an old lady in some southern town in Georgia standing on a porch prefacing a load of gossip with "I'm not one to gossip but.."

Whatever. The guy has the right to happiness but possibly did it in a manner that likely violated the specific terms of his contract and certainly the spirit of it.

Get a timeline that starts with the day the Celts were eliminated. Compare Doc's words with Danny and Wyc's. Use some common sense...now what do you have?

You don't wanna deal with that water under the bridge? Sure...cool, don't talk sideways to folks that do follow who said what and when they said it. It was a spectacular mess. Initiated by one side, denied and implied it was something other than what it was which was a stab in the back.

How hard could it have been??

"Danny I just can't do it, I gotta do something else, get ready to fill my spot because I'm gonna do what makes me happy. Sorry it didn't work out."

Nope, silence, interviews without answers hell interviewers without questions ??? Manipulation of proposals. Where's Bledsoe now? He was dishonest, disloyal. The day that crazy story from Stephan A Smith came out about Bledsoe and Griffin in a proposed deal for K.G,Paul AND Doc...that was the first we heard...by We I mean you me and Danny and Wyc, the guys that paid him millions and one who thought he was a friend.

How does a simple "I don't want to work here I want to work there" turn into a fiasco for everyone including the person who could have avoided it all?? I dunno? But here we are...and there he is.

Pretty awkward having yourself filmed right from the start.  I guess most NBA coaches are used to being filmed 100% of the time.  Pressure is going to be high to produce from day 1.
..

they will need beaucoup talent for Doc to shine. He was a 40 watt bulb with the Big 3 here. Nothing against the man personally. He's a fine man otherwise. Wish him the best.

To me, people begging our 2015 pick to be a good pick is the same as saying, I hope the Clippers suck. Since when did anyone put more emphasis on what fans/media said about a team? Last time I checked plenty of "media spokespersons" a la espn analysts have reiterated the same point time and time again.

The West isn't some one horse race. Unlike the East, the 1-6 seeds can arguably compete and come outta the West. I can definitely see the Chris Paul led Clippers landing at least in the 5-6 seed spot. They're not the team to beat, plain and simple. Anyone saying that clearly has forgotten there's a couple other mountains to overtake in the West first (Thunder, Spurs, GSW, Grizz, and now the Rockets).

Listen, none of us are Danny, Doc, Ownership, or Bill Simmons god forbid. We're fed what THEY say without the whole story from any angle. Yes, I'm sure Doc knew years 3/4/5 may be rebuilding years but Danny certainly didn't make the necessary moves for a smoother rebuilding. I would've gladly erased last years rebuilding effort from my mind if it meant Doc was still here today.

So? It's wishful thinking that would help the C's, what's wrong with that? That's not the same as saying they WILL suck, it's just saying I hope they'll suck so the pick will be good. Either way I don't care what happens out West.
