  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
My biggest fear is Danny would be obsessed in trying to get this top 5 pick to the point that he will trade everybody and anything just to land whoever it is.

And then we land that guy, but will not have any help along the way to the point taht while we have a superstar, we will have no bench guys and a supporting role for this guy because Danny traded them all away.

I for one would hate that. We have plenty of assets and a solid core in Rondo and Green. Personally id rather have the two and two more non superstars but on the same caliber and a solid bench than having a superstar talent without any help.

SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine

With the roster as it is, what are some things you feel could go terribly wrong?

1. More injuries. I suspect Sully and Rondo will take their time getting back, but the injury bug has been vicious to us. I'd hate to see a guy like KO actually contribute and then get injured a la Sully or even one of those guys get re-injured.

2. Rondo "comes back down to Earth"...people have always felt that Rondo gets the stats he gets cuz he has played with 3 HOFers. It'd be nice for him to prove them wrong, but I wonder, if it's possible? It'd also be awful because his trade value would go down.

3. AB/Lee's shooting woes continue. Who wants that? I always felt like AB suffered the most when Rondo went out because their complimentary...AB was shooting 40% from 3 and almost 50% from the field 2011-2012. We could also use Lee's shooting.

4. Jeff Green. As a JG fangirl, I want nothing poor to happen to him.

5. We get an awful, awful coach.

What can you add?

With an extra bold on "his trade value would go down".

Literally the best player on this team, even if his trade "value" went down....Would guarantee getting rid on him would be worse than who we got in return.

This is a separate thread, but Rondo has been the best PG for a "Celtics" team since before I remember,
Every year there are 6-7 teams with a lower winning percentage than our current record. I think we've gotten so used to ignoring the bottom feeders since 2008 that we've forgotten how bad some teams are.
