Folks don't think that that is a foul?

If that sort of defense is allowed, FG% on jump shots will be around 15% next year.

First time I've seen the replay since I walked away as soon as the buzzer went off and I've been defending the most of the calls. But that is pretty disgraceful to be not picked up by 3 Refs.

Sure Green may not have hit all the FT's but at least put it up to chance.

That's a clean block on the ball with some incidental lower body contact.

Calling that a foul in that situation would be a travesty.

I'd call the contact more than incidental, but the block up top was clean and Green was already trapped in midair and did a baby double-clutch before Bosh even got there.  He also swings the right leg into the contact a bit, which probably made the impact worse.

I agree that giving Green free throws there would've been a huge bailout call.  And I say that as a guy who loves Danny Green and can't stand Bosh.

I think it boils down to how you feel about the unwritten rule of allowing more contact late in games, though.

You're right.  Your analysis of it is much better than mine.  I agree.

What I meant by "incidental" is that I don't think Green would have gotten the shot off but for the lower body contact.  That shot was doomed before Bosh got there, because Bosh was closing out quick enough and with enough length to totally alter or completely block the shot.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Manu was TERRIBLE, Danny Green couldn't hit his 3 ball and the Spurs were still there to win a thriller on the road up 5 with 29 seconds left.

*Manu misses 1 of his FTs. (game over if he makes it.)

*Pop takes Duncan out. Spurs can't corral rebound off LeBron brick. (game would have been over if they get it).

*Kawhi misses 1 of his FTs. (game over if he makes it.)

*Pop (again?!?) takes Duncan out and Spurs can't get rebound off LeBron brick. (game over if they get it).

Four easy chances to end the game. End of story, Spurs had it and lost it.

I've only watched a couple games anyway.

I'm assuming the viewership has been god awful.

I'd lile to see it compared to Stanley Cup finals. If its close than that os VERY sad for the NBA especially given the teams that are playing

Everything I've read is that the ratings have been great, Lakers/Cs level.

Game 6 is reported to have scored a 14.7 overnight rating. For the sake of comparison, the Bruins-Canucks Game 7 from a few years ago is the highest rated NHL game since 1974 and that drew a 5.7 overnight rating.

Even if the remainder of this Bruins-Blackhaws series does the best ratings in NHL history, it'll still be a fraction of the NBA Finals audience.

It isn't close.  No need to be VERY sad for the NBA.

True. When a team (villain) is hated as much as the cHeat, everybody watches them to see them lose, except the bandwagoners like Justin Bieber, an alleged laker fan who was all cHeat geared-out.

Many sports thrive on villains. Just ask the WWE.

Bulls-Jazz is the highest rated Finals ever.  I assume you think people watched because they wanted to see MJ lose?

I remember Jordan and the Bulls being fairly popular.
