Cleveland isn't trading the number 1 pick for Eric Bledsoe and Deandre Jordan..that's just not on the table.

Other than that, excepting Austin Rivers, I think it's quite possible.

I don't think NO gets enough for eric Gordan, its basicall Avery and a poo poo plater

Yep especially since they have already have an extra first and a high second (so why do they want 16 and 25).  I think you just take them out of the trade and with a little changing it could make some sense.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Well its Avery and expiring contracts, which is a package that a year ago I couldn't see NO taking, but now, with how far Eric Gordon's performance on-court has dropped, his injury history, and his deleterious relationship with NO ownership, I bet they'd be okay with a deal that looks like this.

They get out of Eric Gordon's contract :P It's been documented that he doesn't want to be with the Pelicans. Overall I like this trade for the Celtics, depending on if Gordon can stay healthy! And the number one pick?! awesome! It's going to be an interesting offseason!

I wonder how long until NO hangs up the phone if Danny asked Rondo for Vasquez/Gordan/2013 1st

Apparently the Pelicans want to shed salary cap and like Bradley. Plus they want to part ways with Gordon who's on the hook for 13 mil+/year and signed for 3 more years. Throw them the expiring contract, unguaranteed contracts, and Bradley it makes sense

I think 2 first round picks, Bledsoe (a blue-chip prospect), and DeAndre Jordan who is nearly averaging a double double in under 25 minutes a game and is just 25 is a lot for the first overall pick

It really isn't though. Phrase it like this: Two late 1sts in a weak draft and 1 flawed prospect with a high ceiling, and 1 average starting center.

Well its not like the first pick is someone real special either

Maybe if Cleveland got Gordon they'd consider this trade.

Celtics get Bledsoe and no 1 pick (Noel).

Irving
Gordon
(Trade Varejao)
Thompson
Jordan

Obviousely Cleveland has alot of capspace, and they can absorb Gordon and Jordan. Irving has two more years on his rookie deal. Hes expressed frustration with the lack of progress made by their team.

I wouldn't think this a farfetched idea. I think they could trade Varejao for a SF is good for their roster overall.

If we get Noel, man that's a dream come true for me.

Id be happy with Bledsoe and Noel.

Rondo-Bledsoe-Green-Sully-Noel, nice Young core.

I think the only team that really benefits out of this is the Clippers.

The Cavs already have Irving, making Bledsoe somewhat redundant.

The Pelicans aren't getting much value back and I actually think the Celtics get shafted in this deal (a first for trade ideas on Celtics Blog, lol!)

The Clips certainly make out well.

Rasta1,

Ben averages about 14.8 million per over the next 3.  That is horrible.

Why are so many C's fans eager to pay Gordon that absurd 15M per season contract?

Do.  Not.  Want.

Can you let me know what rumors you are talking about please? I have seen a bunch of trade suggestions and proposals from various media types and people here at the blog, but an honest to goodness trade rumor, I haven't heard one since before the trade deadline and all those are now dead.

As for Eric Gordon, I'm with mmmmm. Players like Amare, Bogut, Gordon, and a host of other injury prone players, I don't want here.

Didn't we learn our lessen from the Jermaine O'Neal signing or the two times we had Marquis Daniels? Injury prone players tend to be on the injury list a lot, play very little and take up major cap space.
