See my attached picture for what I'd put together for a young squad this offseason... All of which is possible, and yes a little crazy, but just enough crazy that it might work.

If for some reason the picture doesn't show, here goes:
Rondo/T-Will/Delonte
Gordon/Bledsoe/Crawford
Green/Granger/Draft Pick
Sully/Bass/Jeremy Tyler
Jordan/Oden/Melo

Looking at Delonte and Granger, I'm glad you're not.

None of them are even possible, not to mention we're taking on 3 players with injury prone histories... Good luck playing a full healthy season with them...

Granted if we took a risk and they panned out, it would be great, but I highly doubt DA would be able to pull some strings to get these players...

West is also not going to come back. I doubt Crawford is going to stay, and why Jeremy Tyler?....

Given the current fiasco with T-Will, I don't see him returning next year. And we'd probably have to lose Sully/Green to get those pieces mentioned in your PNG.

All valid points, and I understand this is my own personal pipe dream. Let me give you some thoughts on why I like what I put together and answer some of your questions.

Definitely high risk with Gordon based on his injury last season and the amount of years left on his deal BUT there would be significantly less risk with Granger because he has only 1 year remaining and clearly the pacers don't need him with Paul George being their new star. As for Oden, that will be low risk high reward for any team that signs him because it will most likely be fairly cheap on a one year trial. Ainge has already brought him in, and shown interest in interviews.

As for pulling strings to get these players: quite simple from two of the rumors circulating right now - Pierce and Bradley for Gordon (who wants out of N.O., and N.O. realizes that Rivers is their future), they would most likely waive Pierce for $5.0M and I see him signing with the Clippers because K.G. will be traded for Jordan and Bledsoe which is rumor number 2.

As for Granger, the numbers match if we traded Lee and Terry for him, but there would have to be some draft picks to sweeten the deal.

I know you say Delonte West is not coming back, BUT he has ball handling skills, shooting skills, he's played in Doc's system, he has playoff experience, and would play for the minimum. ALL OF WHICH WE DESPERATELY NEEDED THIS YEAR! To bring him on as our 3rd string point guard at a vet minimum salary should be a no brainer for both sides.

Crawford is here on the cheap one more year, again, for a 3rd string young guy - why not?

T-Will might be a goner, which is sad because I had high hopes but we'll see. Also a guard on the cheap.

Lastly, I was torn on bringing back Shav or making a move with Jeremy Tyler and I think Tyler makes the most sense. The kid is 22 years old, he's 6'10 260, he's put in the hard work in the D-league and averaged 17pts 9rebs in 27 regular season minutes - then 20/6 in 24 min during d-league playoffs. He is young, and he can BALL!

Yes, a lot of pieces need to be moved in this scenario, BUT I bet Danny is looking at our team right now and telling himself that this is the offseason where a lot of pieces need to be moved for us to be significant again. Just my 2 cents.

Oden is a low risk high reward, but hes going to be definitely looked at by many teams throughout the off season. Most likely Oden would join a contending ready team. The Celtics? Nowhere close.

Granger maybe. I could see Lee, a draft pick being sent to get him.

Delonte West absolutely not! Average ball handling, shooting slightly above average, and decent enough that putting him on our roster would be useful. But... Since Doc will be our coach next year, so West most likely won't get playing time.

Crawford/Shav/DJ White would most likely be packaged. I doubt Shav will come back unless they feel that hes good enough for 5-10 minutes, other than that I feel for sure their all getting packaged to fit a bigger contract.

Eric Gordon is just the one person I'd rather not get... Missing 119 games for 3 seasons, but is getting paid 15 million a year? WHAT? Come on, 15 million a year for a guy who's missed that many games especially at a young age? No thanks I'll pass, not to mention Gordon at times isn't exactly the smartest player. Althetic, would fit in our new offensive system if we decide to change our plays. But for now, I doubt its going to happen. If Pierce does get traded its either for a package with KG, or for someone else like J-Smoove, etc.

I'd rather we try to get Paul Millsap and Kyle Korver. Trade Terry/Bass and see what we get added with the China men.

At this point time I'd rather we get Kyle Korver, put him at SG/SF. Try to get Paul Millsap, if not, stick with Jeff at PF/Sully PF. See who we draft as a Center, and if Fab Melo has proven himself to get 5-12 minutes, then try to find a Center we can acquire in the free agency.

Defense, rebounding, and scoring were our three main problems. The people we brought in to score couldn't fulfill that. I don't want us to move Lee as he has the height, scoring, and defense. Same with Bradley, but if we have to move someone I'd rather it be Bradley since he just got the Defensive team awarded. It'll raise his trade asset highly, maybe the Grizzlies might want to do a 3 way trade for him?

I would seriously contemplate ending my time as a celtic fan if we got Delonte back...That is how much i dislike his game play.

One of the most terrible, bottom of the barrel moments of my life was when Delonte got hurt for us in his second tenure (broken wrist or whatever?)...I was beyond happy knowing he would no longer be in our lineup.
