Nate has been very good for the Bulls so far in the playoffs, averaging 17 ppg in 30 mp, shooting 50/36/82% - by far his most efficient playoff ball. Maybe he needed a coach like Thibs to rein him in and coach him up.
No Nate, no second round for the Bulls. I don't think he will get big bucks, but something like two years at $2.5m per, for the reasons mentioned earlier in this thread. Could a team win with Nate on it. Of course, if the first six or seven guys in front of him in the rotation were real good. Is it more likely for Team X to win with a more traditional guard than with a midget gunner like Nate? Yes.
If Nate was the backup PG on the Heat instead of Cole, would they win? Yes.
Ironically, there might not be a spot for Nate on the Bulls next year at $2.5m, with Rose coming back and Teague readying for backup minutes. Third PGs usually have vetmin salaries.
