to go for another run, this team needs some serious help. there's only one point guard on the team, and there's only one center. to quote JVG: "Bass is an undersized power forward, and when Garnett goes to the bench, he's a super undersized center."

Green also needs to improve a lot because we need him to make that leap next year. In the open court, he's terrific. But he's also shown a propensity to turn the ball over a lot. We need another scorer to be honest. 49points after 3 quarters? That can't happen.

Is it possible for pierce to get bought out of his current contract. Sign for cheap. and then sign Josh Smith?

Honestly if we could draft a decent back up Center, and Fab Melo can give us 5-10 productive minutes.

Green starts over Pierce, who sits out at least 10-15 minutes. And we could get Josh Smith for cheap who could PF and if Doc wants to go small ball, let him do Center.

I don't see why we can't make a splash. Either way we won't get much, just the ability to get a decent FA.

hahaha good luck with that. not gonna happen with the way our personnel is being handled. if they run it again next season kg and pp will be run to the ground and the result will be the same even with rondo and sully.

The season has come to an end and one which many saw coming. As always, the Celtics fought it out but age and a lack of talent ultimately shone through. We should remember the contributions of our elder C's as it's time for Ainge to be ruthless and rip apart the current team and begin by rebuilding around Rondo, Green and hopefully an Al Jefferson type.

The 2013/2014 Celtics are, IMO, going to be a very different outfit to what we've seen in the past few seasons. There's no room for sentiment now. Lead us back to the promised land Danny.

Watching Pierce get shut down by Shumpert was painful. I love PP and KG, two of my favorite players ever, but i don't want another season of .500 ball. Even when Rondo was healthy, they were playing .500 ball. No thanks. I say buy out PP, let KG retire, trade Rondo for draft picks and get the rebuild started. It will still be enjoyable watching the team play with Jeff Green as the lead dog, even though they would lose a ton of games in the process.

I say keep KG and Pierce if you can swing a deal to get a big and a guy that can create his own offense. Make Green, Bradley, Sullinger, Crawford, Bass, Lee and our draft pick available. We probably won't be able to get anything for KG and PP that is worth it, so keep them. They are still good players and I believe that they would be better suited as role players.

Nope.

KG is retiring, and they should make a trade&retire with Detroit for Charlie V+Singler+ a future first rounder (or to Orlando for Turkoglu+pick). KG files retirement papers and the Pistons save some money

Green, Bradley and Sully's trade value is only going to rise. The Celtics won't need to tank because without KG they're bad, and they could keep Rondo and Sully off the court until they're 100% healthy, maybe after ASG.

The Captain... I don't know. They could trade him for something valuable and sign him as a FA next summer, or they could retool his contract. Even with him on the team, they can be a bad team, as he's old and needs lots of rest.

Trade Terry if you can, trade Lee/Bass if you're getting good offers. Be a terrible team next season and try to get back for the 2014-2015 with Rondo/Bradley/Green/Sully, the draft picks and maybe Fab Melo, T-Will and whoever Danny can get.

Don't trade Rondo, he'll come back better than ever.
