It would be nice if he do a little more on the offensive end too.

Isn't this his second year on an NBA court?

A lot of pressure to be playing out of position.

I'd give him another year or two.
Although he still might get some good offers as trade bait.

I payed extra attention to AB's defense today just b/c of people saying Felton is eating him alive and just as I thought, Felton was eating KG, Green, Bass and whoever else was guarding Chandler/Martin! I saw KG many times stay pretty much in the paint and by the time he had a chance to react it was too late b/c of Felton's quickness. Go watch the games, it's not much AB can do when he's being picked of hard by Chandler (who is an excellent screen setter)! Blame our bigs (or w/e you call those guys who play c/pf for us lol)!

AB can't be as bad as you guys are saying seeing that we are holding the NYKs to like 85pts when their average was over 100.

You guys see Felton having his way and look at the person who is guarding him w/o recognizing the other factors, especially the other defenders (again, KG)!

Now his offense, I got nothin... HE HAS BEEN ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!!! No other way to put it. He had a good game 1 and last 3 games he can't hit a bucket if it meant he had to do it to save his own life! I'm sure it takes a lot out of him offensively b/c he isn't performing well... that gives his defender A LOT of rest so they have energy on offense. Someone said when Green is making his baskets/taking charge on offense it means that PP and KG can rest during those possessions, they don't have to do it ALL, which gives them energy on the other end and when Bass defends Melo it's the same on defense... I'm sure it means the same for guys who defend AB. If AB was making shots, I bet Felton wouldn't be playing as well as he is b/c he would actually be tired from trying to defend.

It's not a surprise the one regular season win we had against them is when AB was hitting all his shots.

So, add BAD offense by Bradley to great PNR/screening by Chandler/Martin and you have AB's bad play (mainly offensively if you pay attention to him on defense).

Remember RR's complaints early season about having to try to fight through so many screens on D? Said it was taking a toll on his body... now imagine a guy with two surgically repaired shoulders fighting through the screens and boom, not good. I wouldn't be surprised if AB is big time banged up from TC and KM busting him up but if he is we wont know about it just like both shoulders needing surgery wasn't found out until he had to stop in the playoffs... how many of you knew he had been playing with two shoulders that continuously dislocated all season last year?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

He's a SG, not a PG.  His play has not surprised me.

When Rondo comes back next year, and Bradley is allowed to go back to his natural SG position, we'll see the return of last years's Bradley.  Book it.
So, because he's playing PG he miraculously forgot how to play defence or shoot? Nah. Next year's Bradley will be this year's Bradley, now that the other team knows he's coming, he has turned from a pest to an annoyance. Surprised?

Bradley's main value add on defense is pressuring the opposing ballhandler, which causes mistakes and uses up quite a bit of the shot clock. The issue we're seeing isn't that the Knicks "know he's coming" (it's hard to believe that he took anyone by surprise in March, or even in January assuming coaches keep track of players from one year to the next). I think it's more that they always have multiple point guards on the court so whoever he's not guarding can bring the ball up and start the offense.

One man can't guard a team folks.  They are guys and teams that make Bradley look human.

I think sadly he is a one trick pony though.  Guys have to step up when guys are missing and if anything his "O" regressed.

Rondo is a nice backcourt mate for him on D because he loves to steal passes.  Passes is how guys who can't dribble beat ball pressure so defensively they are a nice pairing.  Offensively neither can keep the "D" honest with their suspect shot but Rondo can pass like nobody's business.

He's being manhandled by Chandler in the pick and roll too, which is how Felton is getting inside a lot. Tough to cover an elite pick n roll tandem- which is what Chandler and Felton are.

To my Bradley is a fully bench player, I've always said, the Celtics need to OJ Mayo, Jamal Crawford, Gerald Henderson ..

Gerald Henderson should be target nº2 this offseason assuming nº1 is a starting C

All of those guys are also bench players (offensive bench players mostly) though 2 bench players doesn't equal 1 starter.

I guess you could use Henderson as a Bogans/Lee type starter.

He is a limited player with certain excellent talents.

On a full team, his limitations are hidden and his talent can be maximized.

On a beat up team or a team lacking in depth, his talents are minimized as his limitations are highlighted.

He has a role on any team, starting or off the bench, at SG.

What he really needs is a PG with SG size to play with at times.

He is not a star.  He is not a foundation building block.  He is a good role player that can help a team when he is allowed to play within his skills.

love Bradley but he needs to stop being a pg. That's more on Doc's part though cuz he makes him play the pg role. I want either Pierce or Terry bringing up the ball. I don't like the way he throws/passes the ball at his teammates, I always feel like, he will turn the ball over that way.

I think I'm more surprised by his defense...he's been doing ok, but man Felton is eating his lunch. And I'm not going to give AB a pass on his defense when I didn't give Rondo one on his occasions. If you can't do anything offensively, at least make it hard as hell for the other guards. That's what's irritating me the most, Felton is the C's killer.
My observation has nothing to do with Felton. It's been months now that his famed "on-the-ball defense" has consisted of jumping in front of the his man last-second, getting run over, and getting called for a foul. That's neither smart, nor efficient. It's driving me crazy more than a Jordan Crawford floater.
