The power forward slot depending on matchup. Bass for Indiana's power lineup to defend David West. Jeff Green for New York's small ball lineup to defend Melo.

can bass defend west? i was thinking of shavlik and bass on pendegraph or hansbrough... because look, they got hibbert who is 7'2 who can definitely box-out and give you 15+ rebounds, so a duo kg and shavlik, shav i think can outrebound hibbert, if its offensive and kg on him on defensive

I agree, but I would start Green at the two instead of Lee against the bigger lineups of Indiana, Brooklyn, or Chicago.

that is a bad small line-up
pierce must stay on deng, green as back-up
i don't want to see bass on boozer, he is killing game per game, i'm ok with noah and kg match-up, nate robinson on terry or bradley...i can put bass on taj gibson, green on butler

on indiana, lee or terry, can go with gerald green and lance stephenson, pierce and green rotation can go on george, but i can also put green with indiana's 6'8 with pierce on george at the same time on court

and as for the reserves...when green pierce needs a rest i don't rely on terry and crawford running the offense as bench players, put green on the bench as a 2nd unit, when lebron is out or in, pierce needs a rest green is fresh from the bench runnign the offense

I think Courtney Lee is fine against Lance Stephenson in Indiana or Rip Hamilton in Chicago. I would keep C.Lee in there and use Jeff Green off the bench.

Against Brooklyn, yes, I would go big on the wings with Jeff Green and Paul Pierce against Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace.

I don't disagree with that, I just like the idea of having two starting lineups: one big, one small, with Jeff Green in both of them.  This is partially based on the fact that Doc has publicly declared Green a starter for the rest of the season.  I don't foresee him putting him back on the bench in any situation after making that statement.

I also think that you want your three best players starting in the playoffs.  The two lineups allow for that to always be the case.

Going into next year, I think it would be cool if Doc has the courage to do this throughout the regular season.  I like the idea of a rotating starting lineup with Bradley and Bass (or Sully) as the alternates depending on matchups.

Jeff can alternate as a starting two or a starting four until Paul retires and he becomes a full-time starting small forward.

i think lee and hamilton are somewhat similar
againt's brooklyn, i think its ok because there bench players are really not so good as ours, they will just beat us 4 and 5 rotational big man, lopez humphries blatche evans

on the knicks, this is the problem. i don't know who starts maybe copeland or someone melo would probably be at pf, i don't know if green can contend, but the size gives melo a little problem, can jason kidd and steve novak be hot on 3's, felton, these are all good offensive players from the bench,

and again, crawford terry or t-will running the offense? i don't know what's left on terry upside down here in celtics, if he keeps on hitting 3's also, then i have no problem,

but i think its better on pierce on melo kg on copeland or someone lee shumpert bradley on smith, kid on terry, these gives green time to score without being guarded by melo, offense coming off the bench from green
