Curry's a good shooter but that's about it. We wouldn't have beaten the Cavs in 2010 with him and probably wouldn't have gone as far last year. We'd probably have done about as well in 10-11.
Think that's selling Curry shot. Elite scorer, elite shooter, average passer, average defender.
I think saying that Curry would have gotten us farther in either 2010 or 2012 is selling Rondo short. Rondo's performances in the Cavs series in '10 and the Miami series last season were nothing short of phenomenal. We needed everything that he gave us to beat the Cavs and to take Miami to seven. I don't think that replacing him with a shooter like Steph Curry would have yielded as much (never mind, more) success in those seasons.
Maybe. Rondo's skillset and Curry's skillsets are very well suited to those teams. Hard to tell.
Actually, yeah, previous to this season, injury history, performance, everything, I'd rather have Rondo.
This season and forward, Curry.
