The 76ers haven't really had any great seasons with him on their roster.  Perhaps it is time for a new soul.

This forum is like a paradox right now.  Fans are trying to claim the upgrade from Bynum to Howard is "no big deal" and will result in a 45 win Laker team.. while subsequently saying Bynum is "better than Howard"... while subsequently saying Philly isn't a threat by adding Bynum... while subsequently saying that Howard is much better than Bynum... but apparently it's not big deal, because Howard is worse than Howard and Bynum is much better than Bynum.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
bynum is horrible. he refuses to play some games

I agree that Bynum seems like he has some mental stuff he needs to overcome to be a truly dominant player in the league.  But questionable behavior/motivation aside, how can you call him "horrible" with a straight face.  He's either the first or second best Center in the whole league.  He averaged 19 pts, 12 rbds, and 2 blks per game last season.

Seriously, "horrible?"  Shawne Williams is horrible, Brian Scalabrine is horrible, Gerald Green is horrible.

Bynum most certainly isn't.

If we can't call him horrible, can we at least call him a very ugly person?

We faced down the Lakers, a better built team, more than once, and took them to 7 games with a very depleted team.

Bynum will have a monster year. Something around 24 ppg / 12 rpg / 2 bpg year. It doesn't matter though. That team lost their heart in Iggy. Until Bynum shows maturity and transcend into a leader, they're  a cakewalk against the Celtics.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

If only it were that simple.
Bynum is the 2nd best center in the league. It's quite possible that he will become the best center in the league because his offensive skill set is far superior than Dwight's.
He is a bit of an immature Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. at times but becoming the man on a Philly team may change a lot of that.

To answer the question, no he is not trash. And anyone who thinks he's trash is delusional.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

He is not trash.  He has some physical issues and sometimes is lazy but when he comes to play he is very good.

Bynum will be awesome offensive weapon....now he is shed of Kobe , he will go off.

I think the Lakers wanted Howard for GLAMOR , as much as anything,  they wanted the MONEY TV contracts Howard will attract,  I'm not convinced Howard atfer back surgery is going to be better than Bynum.

Bynum is a spoiled bratt in a giant body.

I doubt Danny would want his attitude , but Doc could probally handle him with KG's help.

He needs a REAL coach , or rather one he respects...I have my doubts about Collins..he is too soft.

So eventually he'll play for Riley in Miami,  he won't repect Sponerd, but he knows Riley is sitting in the stands.

SO its just a matter of time , before he is in Miami.

If he ever gets his mind right he has the tools to become the best Center in the league and be a dominant player in the paint for years.

I do feel with the addition of Nash in LA that Dwight is the better fit for the lakers right now. I believe La and Philly both got better as far as chemistry is concerned.

And Bynum and Brand playing along side each other is a solid front court for sure.

Patrick Ewing 2.0 and Greg Oden but a wee bit sturdier. Neither one scares me.

TP for you.  Is this some trolling, or does someone have a man-crush on DH?  sheesh.  Let's put him in the hall of fame right now, even though he can't shoot a free throw, doesn't have a high bbiq, and doesn't have one decent go to move in the post.  But he can block shots and he can dunk.  Great!  He is also EXPECTED to be able to do that...

once again, dwight howard is a specimen of his own. he's huge and he can run fast like a deer. bynums like a snail and all he does is flagrant foul people

I can see now that your power of hyperbole is far too strong for my power of reason so I will respectfully conclude my participation in this thread.  ;D
