Yes, I like that crew. I really enjoyed this FanPost;
http://www.celticsblog.com/2012/6/21/3109022/the-ideal-10-man-rotation-for-a-well-balanced-team-according-to-docI think the Celtics have recognized that they just would have the chance to use their cap space for a superstar and have chosen to pursue the Spurs model to compete. That said I think we have done well to fill in most of the bench with real quality. I can a see deep C's team doing very well in the still weak East.
Rondo, Bradley, Terry is a nice Guard rotation and if Ray is back, its stocked!
Pierce, Green, Bass, Wilcox, KG, Steimsma, Sullinger, JJJ, Melo is a lot of front court options with nicely varied skill sets. Shooters, bangers, open court players, 1/2 court players...
I can see a second unit of Terry, Allen, Green and perhaps JJJ/Sullinger really adding an extra dimension to the second unit. Particularly since all those players can actually score points. Last year Dooling, Bradley, Peitrus, Wilcox, Steimsma - no scorers! Now Doc has options to balance out the units he plays.
I have not been thrilled with this offseason, I was hoping for a big name, Josh Smith, OJ Mayo, etc. PLayers you could see growing into stars/starters with Rondo. It wasn't in the cards but we will all enjoy watching playoff basketball again next spring.
