Clippers may have found a taker for Mo Williams: Utah.

Trade would see Odom to Clips, and Mo Williams to Utah (using their large TE). Williams has to agree to opt into the final year on his deal before the deadline this weekend.

Has no real bearing on tonight's draft.

I really like Odom alongside Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. I think his skill-set is a good complement to them. Offers something completely different.

Not sure about Odom and CP3 though. Be interesting to see how well Paul can play alongside a guy like Odom.

Chris Paul
Chauncey Billups
Caron Butler
Blake Griffin
DeAndre Jordan

With Lamar Odom, Eric Bledsoe and Kenyon Martin off the bench

Dang, man. That's some talent. Could challenge OKC out west. That would be a great series to watch.

It's hilarious how the Lakers arent even the best team in their city anymore. HA!

I actully don't understand this trade all that well. Why do the Clippers want to get rid of Williams for Odom. Odom did nothing last year. I think they could get better value from him than that. Utah is probably stoked about this though.

Odom wasn't there mentally last year.  I think they hope he is back in the right frame of mind this year.  If he is, he would be a huge addition as a 6th man.  And Williams is a bit superfluous if they sign a real SG, and the young backup PG (forget his name) is back healthy.

I think he'll do fine with Odom, I mean I don't know if he'll maximize Odom's versatility but he dealt with Reggie Evans.... (Odom's fast breaking off rebounds was always devasting and CP3 HATEs anyone dribbling the ball not named Chris)

I think you are thinking of Eric Bledsoe. I agree they really don't need him and Bledsoe especially if they sign a legit SG and keep Chauncy. Then they really don't need either.

Anyways, I was saying that I think they can get more value than that for Williams. Say Williams and Bledsoe for Devin Harris and Gordon Hayward. Or maybe Williams for Milsap (if they want to get Favors more playing time). Actually this one is my favorite - DeAndre and Williams for Big Al and Raja Bell.

Update: it's official, and Houston has gotten into the mix:

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8113523/lamar-odom-traded-los-angeles-clippers-mo-williams-utah-jazz-four-team-trade

Quote
The Dallas Mavericks traded Odom to the Los Angeles Clippers in part of a four-team trade Friday.

The Clippers sent guard Mo Williams to the Utah Jazz. Utah will use the trade exception it created in the Mehmet Okur deal with New Jersey this past season to take on Williams' contract.

The Mavericks also will create their own trade exception worth $8.2 million by shedding Odom's contract without taking any salary back.

Dallas also received the draft rights to forward Tadija Dragicevic from Utah and cash considerations from the Houston Rockets. The Clippers sent the draft rights to second-round pick Furkan Aldemir to Houston.

So:

Clips send Mo Williams and rights to Aldemir, get Odom
Mavs send Odom, get rights to Dragicevic and cash
Jazz send rights to Dragicevic, get Mo Williams
Rockets send cash, get rights to Aldemir

Not sure why Houston had to get involved, but I like it for them. No risk at all.

One of the most minor, unnecessary 4-team trades I can recall but somehow every team wins.
