What do we have to offer? Must have a 3rd team involved if possible. Come on Celtics! Don't give up Pierce Or Rondo and get Smith and I will be a happy man!

At this point, and of course depending on what KG does, a Pierce for Smith straight up deal wouldn't be such a bad thing for the Celtics. Maybe get greedy and ask for 23, but I doubt it.

JJ and Pierce would be one of the most physically imposing backcourts in the league - nightmarish for the undersized wings on so many teams - both guys thrive whenever they get a smaller guy on them.

Why, Chris Wallace, why?

Yeah, that'd be a great tandem. Real shame they couldn't grow up together. I think this is a trade that would be pretty beneficial for both teams. I'm starting to like the idea of it.

i saw a rumor floating around on realgm (so take it with a grain of salt) it was a three way where Pierce goes to the Lakers, Pau goes to the Hawks and Smith and Pachulia come to Boston. It's intersting but i would NEVER trade Paul Pierce.

Pierce is a Boston legend but Ainge would have to take that deal. Smith, KG and Zaza is a terrific 3-man big rotation, especially if you add in Jeff Green.

I would trade everything short of KG Pierce Rondo and Bradley for him.  It doesn't make sense if we can't trot out those 5 at once.  If we had that as a starting line up, everything else would be worth it.

KG is not coming back unless Pierce is on this team, I am afraid to say.

I'm not sentimental but I would support international terrorism before I'd support Paul Pierce being sent to the Lakers.  That's like trading Yaz back in the 70's to the MFY

i'd love this deal for the hawks. gasol at c moves horford over to pf. that's a pretty intimidating front court if you ask me, easliy the best in the east imo. i dont know if they'd have to give up teague up if they didnt, teague/johnson/williams/horford/gasol could make some noise in the east next year. that team could be very good defensively with their athleticism/length.

I'd be ok with trading Pierce for the right package (he's my 2nd favorite player ever behind Bird)... it would be sad, but my heart belongs to the Celtics ... not individual players.  That said, if he goes to the Lakers, I'll be sick.

You can't move without being hit by a rumor so it might be nothing but say it isn't so!

ATL have been after Gasol for a while now....

Smith, pachulia, #23, and Williams for gasol and artest or trade exception.

That can't be real, right? I mean, Smith for Gasol is bad enough, adding Zaza, a 1st and taking on Artest would just be an abysmal move.

I agree.  That's fantasy land...  Somebody's been on NBA2K too much...
