This is the main problem with 3 picks. What if Sullinger, White and a Jones are there at 21/22? Harkless is another guy who really fits in that spot, though it sounds like he goes earlier. Seems like a no brainer to take 2 of those guys and we already have JJJ coming back. If you think Melo or Ezeli are reaches there (many do), what else can you do? There are no 2s other than Taylor and Barton, both of whom I like, but both look like they can be had 5-10 picks lower maybe. Terence Ross and JLamb will be gone.

Even in round 2 the guys i think fit the Danny mold and i would really like to have are Mike Scott and Quincy Acy - rugged effort, bit too small, but super productive. Simply can't see bringing in Sullinger, White and Acy, though I think all 3 of those guys on their own would be great value picks.

If any of the big names fall to us, you have to do a best player available selection... especially this late in the draft and guys with great potential fall. Worst case scenario is we then flip them to a team who truly wanted them and pick up extra assets for the future and take backs guy like jeff Taylor who will be very solid a bit later in the draft.

Best player available. We are kinda low on expendable assets and this might help.

I'm really always a fan of this strategy with the exception of if you just need that last piece... we just need young talent.  With two picks it's only a bigger push in that direction.  So absolutely "best available"

(I'm also a fan of trying Acy in the 2nd.. could see him being a Reggie Evans type rebounder)

I agree 100% with BPA... just worried that they will all be 6'8" 230!

Acy was a mediocre rebounder for his entire college career - what makes you think he can make the leap to rebounding specialist in the NBA?

Best player may be a 3/4 but with Jeff Green and Bass a little undersized would not make sense unless it allows us to replace Quis / Sasha. Would rather have a 2/3 or a 4/5!
