  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I guarantee that the Celtics staff will show these to Doc and the players for fuel.
Can't wait to see their reaction on court on Saturday!!!
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

you wanna be truly disgusted?  go to Shaun Powells twitter page.  I honestly cant tell where he ends and Lebron begins.

If Celtics fans are real basketball fans they should give LeBron an ovation when game's over. (WOW)

Who wins Game 7? Besides ABC's ratings, that is?

If this is LeBron's game, then Saturday better be Wade's game

Is there anyone rooting for the Celtics besides Celtic fans?

Miami already had their championship celebration when LeBron signed...why should you cheer an organization like that?

Goes to show you the alleged "power" that some of these writers possess.

Basically, if you have a bias against a team, what's to stop you from forcing that bias onto those who read it?

That's why I appreciate Tim Legler. He is one of the most un-biased analysts I've ever followed.

This one is especially preposterous. There are Lakers fans rooting for us right now.

If they are going to post stuff like that on NBA.COM, at least give a counter piece written by a Celtics fan.  I feel insulted.  We all do.  That's because we were just insulted.  We were just told that being a Celtics fan is irrelevant.

LET'S GO CELTICS!!!!

Didnt realize true fans meant stupid bandwagon obsessed with flashy plays and overpriced whiny superstars who have no respect for the actual game of basketball fans. god between the beat the heat okc finals shirt and now this... this is really disgusting...

This is what David Stern has given us.
Celtics fan for life.

It should be re titled as "For The True Ratings Spike, Heat-Thunder is Finals Heaven".

I want to see the two best teams go at it. Not the two teams with the best superstars. OKC proved twice the best in the West. Just because Miami has superstars doesn't theyre the best in the East.

Bias NBA is biased.

This.
If it's Miami reaching the finals, it won't be because they're supposed to, at least according to some cheap acting bandwagon columnists who fell in love with dunks over pure basketball. It looks like Dr. J is the Lise Meitner of basketball. He did something that went onto become a traumatic experience for millions later on. Huh.
And from the perspective of basketball, REAL basketball, Spurs-Celtics would have been the dream to come true.
You know what, I feel kinda sad for LeBron. NBA organization is desperately hoping for another choking moment from him, so that they could go on and on for months about his failures, until he steps out to the floor for the next playoffs. It is really sad that a sport with such tradition has to rely on one single player failing to deliver at the crucial moments.

Celtics/Spurs was my basketball fan's dream come true, as well.  I guess we aren't real basketball fans.

Real basketball fans are all about dunks and highlight reels and what sells sneakers according to Mr. Powell.

Chris Broussard, you have just been replaced as my least favorite basketball journalist.

That one is completely wrong. Nearly everyone is rooting for the Celtics against the heat this series, and if not, they are rooting for them to lose in the Finals. I go on random team forums like the Jazz and they all want the Celtics to win.

I agree that it seems to me people are rooting for the Celtics.  No one liked the way LeBron handled the Decision and I think in general people like the underdog.  As far as the NBA, I am not so sure that ratings are higher with the Heat.  I guess LeBron in the finals is kind of like having Tiger still in it on Sunday but it seems to me that the NBA would not like the way things went down as LeBron "decided" on Miami.  Too much control by the players.  I don't see the NBA rooting for that even if it (LeBron in the finals) appeals to some of the most casual fans.
