KG is healthy right now. When was the last time that a top-20 player ...

Top 20 player, ouh thats harsh. He's a Top 15 PF/C but not Top 20 overall.

We all should hope he comes back on a good one/two year deal, because he's THE defensive anchor and hopefully the mentor to our 2012 draft picks. I really dont like our options if KG decides to retire this year.

It's not a controversial claim. Putting Garnett in the top 20 of all players for this past season is an easy argument to make. Have a look at almost any comprehensive individual metric you like- win shares, efficiency, adjusted plus-minus, etc etc etc. If you believe in PER, which is strongly slanted towards scoring and rebounding, it's not a leap to say that Garnett's 30th-best PER in the league combined with his top-10 defense puts him pretty squarely in the top 20 for two-way-players.

I think he is top five center and plays better at C than PF these days.

Little bit wordy. You lost me at Pierce for Gasol.

Haha...me too!

Seriously though, Pierce for Gasol?

Seriously I would pull that trigger and trade Pierce for Gasol!! Let Ray walk and get an all star level SG to go with Rondo and Green...
