Once the scapegoat, always the scapegoat. Just the way it is. Not defending his play but its the truth.

37 year old shooting guard playing on really bad ankles.

What do you honestly expect?

If he cant play, why is Doc playing him?

Is an injured, shooting 25% from three, and cant play any defense Ray Allen really better then Moore or Pavlovic?

I wouldn't blame Ray, Doc is the one insisting on playing him.  Oh, and Ray is not 48 years old.  I assume that was a typo?

I don't agree with Doc playing Ray. He shouldn't be playing.  I'm just saying we shouldn't be upset with Ray for Doc playing him.
"If somebody would have told you when he was playing with the Knicks that Nate Robinson was going to change a big time game and he was going to do it mostly because of his defense, somebody would have got slapped."  Mark Jackson

Well he is a big part of the offense so when he stinks it up it really hurts the team.

Listening to Doc it doesn't sound like anything will change much. Ray is going to continue to get most of the minutes.

Win or lose.

Injured or non injured.

Hes done. Shouldnt be resigned unless its for the vet minimum and a bench role, hes also delusional if he thinks teams are going to sign him for anything more then that. Hes a 3 point shooter whos shooting 25% from three, cant play defense, and cant shoot.

I definitely would have traded him for Mayo (and a pick) at the trading deadline.

But... that didn't happen.

So, time to ride it out.

People don't seem to realize that Ray is injured and needs a surgery. Ray Allen is tough, and will make everybody here eat their words about him in game 7. Watch and see.

Well, until Doc shelves him, or he just quits, Ray Allen isn't done.

I trust Doc - even if I don't understand his substitutions.

With that being said - I'm still expecting Ray Allen's Big Game.

Why would he be done without injury? Why wouldn't teams sign him for more than the vet minimum if his injury is healed?

Any player can become ineffective when injured. Remember how bad KG was after his injury? He had no ability to jump.

I don't get this desire to make these over the top claims. EDDIE HOUSE got better than a min deal when we signed him in 2007-2008 and Ray is still twice the player House was back then once the ankle is healed.

I agree with you. Doc is addicted to loyalty
I think he's taking this "player-coach" thing too far. Getting too buddy buddy with his players that he doesn't want to make them mad by benching them
