the question i have is, did the lakers threw some games away in order to have him playing all the games in the second round? Feeling comfortably that when they really want to win, they can put denver away. I tend to believe this is the case.
No.
Definitely not.
Who on the team do you think feels that way? Do you think the team got together and made a plan? Do you think the coach decided to do this? Or Kobe or Bynum were so afraid of playing OKC that they individually let up on Denver?
How did they communicate this plan to one another? How did they implement this plan and how many people were involved? This isn't a video game where one person with a controller controls all players and the franchise.
The Lakers just aren't that good. Not surprising at all when they lose to Denver.
if there's one person holding the controller, it would be kobe. If his head isn't in the game, lakers lose. And if Kobe truely believes that they need Artest to win it all, kobe will tank games. again this is speculation from my part.
are they morons for loosing so that they have to play one or two extra games? Games they weren't giving it all, so the chances of getting injured were smaller, still there but smaller, in order to get their third or forth, depending on the play of gasol, back in time for the more important match up with OKC? This given the fact that they feel they can beat denver any day of the week, if they only want to. Again, i don't know. Time will tell i guess. But the idea doesn't seem all too stupid to me.
