If you somehow land Kaman and beasley/diaw without trading the big 4... then you'll basically be closer to the 2011 Celtics... a team that wasn't good enough to win the title, but at least stretched the Heat to 5 games in the 2nd round. Beasley = Green. Kaman = Krstik.
Now of course, the Heat are a heck of a lot better this year... so even so, we're probably getting swept in the 2nd round.
Without the basketball gods gifting us Beasley and Kaman for nothing, we probably aren't getting out of the 1st round.
We are 0-9 against Contenders this year. I have zero reason to believe this team can hang with any team worth their salt.
Kaman is much much much better than Krystic in many ways. Kaman actually can play the paint and be a hardworker down low on the boards. Krystic spent his time outside and wasnt a very good rebounder. If we could trade for Beas and Kaman got bought out and we were lucky to get him here. Our chances would be much much better at making it through at least the first round of the playoffs.
Still wouldnt make us the team to beat.
