Back when Sam Presti really wanted Kendrick and Danny didn't wanna give him up, and with all the Rondo for Westbrook rumors at the time.

We got back a first round pick, Kristic, and Jeff Green for Perkins.

So Rondo and Perkins a staring Center and Point from a championship team, and maybe a pick for your unproven sometimes selfish young stud.

Assuming we could have convinced Presti, would you have made this deal in Hindsight.

Since Danny would have traded Perk anyway, I say yes.  Westbrook has a lot more value than Rondo around the league, I think.

In hindsight, I throw in a first and get James Harden instead of Jeff Green.

Yessir, perhaps unless Chris Paul or Griffin bust a knee in the near future. Good talent gonna be sitting there, and Jeff Green could be a long-term Pierce replacement, at half the money.

Even then though, Westbrook on this team would make the C's contenders. This offense doesn't need Rondo's excellent playmaking as much as it does a lights out shooter to make this offense first rate, as long as that shooter can also drive to the hoop like Rondo can, which Westbrook can.

I would do it, Presti wouldn't.
