Neutral opinion.  not a Pats or Giant fan... It was a great game I thought. ;)

If welker catchs ball , it doesn't absolutely mean a Pats win. SO everybody just get over it and give the dude a break. It's not like it was a do or die field goal with 3 secs left.

From my standpoint, NY just came up with some incredible plays when they needed it.  If it was luck or skill , doesn't matter... they made the "most" clutch plays.

I thought the Giants looked a tad more hungry for the win. It was a team loss by the Pats. You'll have another chance next year.

A Dolphins fan

The last part is true, we have another very weak regular season schedule again next year, only 4 teams with records over .500.  But the pats also have 20 free agents.  I do have a bit of a prediction though.  I think the pats will take a very strong run at mario williams.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Seriously?

Butterfingers in Copley Square?

It was a ball he should have caught, but I don't put it up there on the all time goats list.

Buckner being treated like Buckner is out of line -- several bad plays went into that infamous Game 6 defeat (Calvin Schiraldi, anyone?) ... and the Sox still had a chance to win in Game 7. The Buckner play was certainly a huge blunder, but it was one play out of many that went wrong -- just like Welker's drop was one play out of many that went wrong. If the Pats had played their cards right, they'd have had the game sewed up by the time the Welker drop occurred, and we wouldn't be here talking about it.

Rich Gedman passed ball was just as big in the 86 series.

Hernandez' drop was big. Losing a timeout for that challenge was huge. When it's that close little things like a fumble not going your way can be the difference.

Woohoo, let's give our best WR a hard time when he's a free agent.  Sure we're probably going to franchise him, but come on guys, act classy.
do it

I'm with you.  Hopefully Pats fans are dumb enough to run a great receiver out of town and straight to Washington.  It was a difficult catch to make because it was a crappy pass by Brady.

Pats fans should feel lucky their team got as far as it did.  The team defense was lackluster at best this year and other than Welker, their wide receivers were crap this year.
Brady was also playing like an average quarterback at best in the conference finals and SB.  Ravens should have knocked them off in the conference finals.

just out of curiosity, which building were those Butterfingers tossed from?  I work in Copley Square and didn't hear a thing about it.

LOL! Wow - are you serious? I hadn't heard of the butterfingers. Just wow.

Patriots - PLEASE...go ahead and have a Fireside sale. Just give Washington Tom Brady and Wes Welker. Go ahead and toss in the Gronk guy and Gonzalez.

C'mon you don't need em'...they're washed up.

Do this for me ;D, and my interest in Football will increase exponentially.

Boy - such a trade would be akin to MEM "Gifting" Pau to LA back in 07-08.

Washington is due some good fortune.

Look, I'm sure that the vast majority of Bostonians/NE fans appreciate Brady and the Patriots.

But count your blessings, with the Pats and even what the Celtics have done over the years.

Bruins, too.

Most regions in the US just don't enjoy this kind of sustained success.

I'm from the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, and I'm cheering about us getting the MEAC Tournament here at the Scope in Norfolk. I think that is the first of its kind around here.

This region just doesn't have the kind of Sports success like other regions do - especially Boston-NE.

God forbid the Celtics walk way with only one title, but if that happens, I'll be happy.

Patriots? 3 in 10 years, plus numerous playoffs, etc?
Count your blessings.

Do you want Welker to go sign with the Jets or Bills and come back to kick our ass twice next year, frontrunning american bandwagon pats fans? Is that what you want? Keep throwing your Butterfingers candy on the streets of Boston and that is precisely what will happen. Jeez, get a grip Boston. Welker must have another chance with New England.
The beatings will continue until morale improves
