I love Ray's running off screens, but I would really love it if there were times where he simply picked a spot, and stayed there on some offensive possessions, because then it would be easier for him to sometimes get his shot.

What do I mean by that? If defenses see kg get the ball in a certain spot in the low post, or pierce is taking his guy a bit off the dribble, trying to find his shot in mid-range, what usually happens, unless the team wants the celtics to score, is that help comes to try and stop one of those two, or somebody else.

Ray will have times where his man has no chance, but to come off of him, which gives ray the space he needs to get his shot off. Going off screens all the time, is a big part of the reason that ray isn't getting as many quality, open shots as we'd like to see him get. Why do I say this is the case? Because I see far less skilled shooters, far less capable players at moving without the ball, who get way more wide open shots than I ever see Ray allen get. Now, maybe a big reason for this is because none of those guys are Ray Allen, the deadliest 3 point shooter in NBA history, but I don't tend to think so. Teams know if they get kg or pierce going, they are in trouble, so they will undoubtedly help at times, or leave Ray.

So, i love his screens, but please just pick a spot and help space out the offense more sometimes. Keep the defense more honest by holding a certain defender to a specific part of the court.

No one is going to leave Ray open if he just stays on a spot. Sorry.

They run Ray off of screens so that he can get an open three. Otherwise, his man is going to stand there next to him the entire time. You never, ever leave a guy like Ray Allen alone, because you'd be practically begging the Celtics to give him the ball and hit threes.
