I've never been the biggest Ainge fan (can find 2nd round gems, but has been terrible for the most part and still believe he costs us #18 last year), but one thing we do know is that he's not afraid to pull the trigger. If the season continues down this path, then I think he needs to do one of the toughest things in Boston and amnesty Pierce.
After this year, he has roughly 2 years/$30mil left. He's never been a self-starter and how's he going to play on a team that's rebuilding? The new CBA states that a team can cut a player as long as he was on the current roster at the time.
KG plays hard, but old age has caught up to him. Paul, on the other hand, possibly still has it, but how he takes care of his body will come back to haunt him. He looked as bad as I've ever seen him last night.
Start fresh with Rondo and Bass. Either plan for 2013's free agents or go into a full-fledged rebuilding.
