...the mavs couldnt score. Watching all the young guys play together is pretty exciting and it looks like the future.
on a side note, rondo keeps getting his shot blocked on the fastbreaks cause theres nobody up there with him. Hopefully we see more of those young lineups so they can keep up.

  • Rondo = Good
a combo of rondo, bradley, dooling, bass, and kg may be good defensively against a team that goes small like the Mavs, but it is not good offensively at all, and against most teams it's way too small.

It wont be good offensively a whole game, but everytime a lineup like that was in the game today, we went on a run. Avery Bradley may have terrible handles, but him, and keyon, etc. give us mad energy and change the whole pace. They are very effective in like 10-15 minute spurts.

When that team was on the floor the defense was a little better. However, that team on the floor cannot score points. This team just can't score points anymore.

that is a pretty small lineup. but i like the line up with rondo, bradley, pietrus, kg, and bass. we can pressure the ball and spread the floor its a realy good combination i think. im sure doc will go back to it alot after he watches the tape.

The defense was good last night overall; though Dallas suffers from the same issue of gettin new players on board early on.

The starters were terrible on offense.

Switch Pietrus for Dooling or Bradley though and you have a pretty solid group.

  • It's all about the TEAM!
The starters were terrible on offense.

Coming off the Indiana game, this was the most alarming part to me. They looked just plain flat from the get go. We pounded our way back into the game but by the end it was scary to see that Ray Allen wasn't scoring and Pierce was virtually non-existent and Jermaine O'Neil looks like he's just not getting the job done. I see flashes from all of them from time to time but there is no consistency to speak of. I'm almost starting to wonder if these guys should come off the bench instead of starting the game.

We've got to make other team's tired, not vice versa. We started out tired and looked that way throughout. At halftime, they were interviewing Terry and he basically called the whole team except Rondo old.

I'm almost for flipping the switch and letting our young guys start if for nothing else, to make the other team run after them and get a bit worn down themselves and then have our old war horses come off the bench fresh and play like they should for spot minutes and key stretches. Sure we'll fall behind to start games but our old's could then come on when their players are worn down.

I think we have the pieces, we just need a better way of utilizing them.

Or, we can just do like we are and keep hoping these guys eventually get into shape. I won't lose the faith one way or another but last night was alarming how unfresh we looked after having 4 days off and playing at home. I mean come on! That's as good as it's going to get for the rest of the season in terms of rest.

hard to believe there'd actually be a thread about how Bradley being on the floor was a positive in any way AND not sound completely foolish.

Bradley's looking a little better each time he gets on the court which is good to see.  Still has a long way to go offensively but seeing him on the break with Rondo was a huge positive.  so tired of Rondo having to be a 1-man fastbreak.

substitute Pietrus for Dooling in this line-up and this would be a decent offensive and defensive unit provided KG starts grabbing rebounds instead of tipping balls.

Right now they cant.

Ill give them exactly 6 more games and they had better be in better condition by then.

I think these old guys, specifically KG and Pierce are taking a while to stretch out their lungs.
