Anyone puzzled by the 20 yard throw in garbage time from Hoyer to Gronk? Well they did that to surpass Jimmy Graham (with 1,213 yards) and have Gronk own sole possession of the most total yardage (1,219) and most TDs ever by a TE (17).

He's pretty good.

Yep.  Pretty good for a 2nd round pick.

Acually, Graham had already been pulled from the game when Gronk went ahead. Graham then re-entered the game, once the Saints caught wind of it, and was quickly hit with a pass to take the lead. The Saints were aware of all the numbers needed. Once Sproles hit the all purpose record he too was immediately pulled from the game.

NFl.com still has Gronk ahead by 6 yards though...

Yeah, because Gronk caught a pass after Graham went ahead. Point being that both teams were stat watching so what's fair is fair.

Yep.  Pretty good for a 2nd round pick.
He had back surgery so he missed his Senior year. His draft stock dropped because of that.

Lucky for us :D

Gronk is awesome. He's my favorite player on the Patriots after Tom. It doesn't seem like anyone can gaurd him. Finally the Patriots Drafted an impact player. I can't remember a player they Drafted that developed into being this good since Asante Samuel.

Not bad for a "system" TE.   ;)

The guy is an absolute stud from both a blocking standpoint and from a receiving standpoint.  He's only in his 2nd year in the league and he's already, arguably, the most complete TE in the game. He and Jimmy Graham have had ridiculous years. The battle for All-Pro is going to be interesting to see.

I've said it before but this kid is probably already better than Ben Coates in regards to best TE in Pats history.
