yeah, our defense has been consistently very good throughout the big 3 era . . . but only in '08 was our offense and rebounding good enough to go all the way -- and it's not like our offense was explosive in '08, either.

good point - the '08 Champs were actually sometimes painful to watch on offense.

however, i see the point of the OP - sign a group of defensive demons (who can rebound) so that when the starters - and better scorers - are resting, we don't lose big leads and at the same time, we put a little wear and tear on the opponent. primo defenders are probably a little more affordable.

Thinking back, he also allowed teams to sag off him in the half court and stagnated our whole offense. He's not a playoff point guard and trading him now is trading him high. You are not an elite pg in this league unless you can hit a jump shot consistently.

i just can't help feeling like we've seen that movie already -- twice -- the past couple of seasons.  we know how it's likely to end.

need some new main characters if we want the plot to change much . . . so to speak.
