Not interested in moving Allen for a collection of complementary parts that don't advance our immediate goals.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

unless their contracts are up I think I'd rather have the cap space

I wouldn't do the trade, because i feel that Ray's expiring contract is potentially very valuable in bringing back a star player. This trade would make it a bit harder for the Cs to pull off such a trade.

Also, I don't think Chicago needs to do it.  I figure that their big target in the offseason is JRich.  They sign him to whatever the MLE is going to be, and they are basically done and ready for the season.
Celtics fan for life.

Jdz101,

I am not sure what you are referring to about Taj being useless before this year??  He actually played more and had VERY solid numbers and BETTER stats in his first year.

I have seen Taj in person, and he is solid on BOTH sides of the ball.  I do this trade in a minte.

See smitty...little sequences of play during last season make me think otherwise...from memory there was a game against Miami where he managed to turn the ball over 4 times in about 45 seconds during a pretty important sequence of the game. I wouldn't rate him offensively at all.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Having Ray Allen for a small contract is an awesome prospect no matter which angle you look at it and that's enough reason to keep him.
