It's a good thing that players hand records to each other? What next? A little foot massage afterwards?

Like I said...you can come down on that play, by saying that it's not up to Favre to give Strahan the record, but even if he did, how does that speak poorly of Brett?  Whether you agree with the principles behind it or not, he didn't personally gain anything from it, and his team didn't suffer. Considering the alternatives (trying to throw out of it risking a penalty or INT and attempting to run risking a fumble or injury), it was a smart play as well.

Brett Farve made a smart play by NOT throwing an INT? I think you've got the wrong guy on this one.

Nope..right guy. You can go back and watch the play if you dont remember how it unfolded.  There was absolutely nobody between him and Strahan.  If he didnt cover up and slide, he either would've got his clock cleaned (and possibly fumbled), or risked an INT throwing.

I've already said that his loose style of play leads to as many big plays as it does breakdowns (INTs), but thats outside of what happened in this particular play, and also not something that makes him at all similar to Lebron.  If anything, his willingness to step up and take those risks (that sometimes dont go well), is something that distinguishes him from Lebron (who continually deflects to others in crunch time).

So why didn't he go down like that for any other sack he ever took? Rather amazing he finally learned to make a smart play by lying down right when a record was going to be broken, then immediately forgot thereafter. Odd we don't see other QBs making such smart plays

You know in the White House there's like 200 antique clocks and there's this one really old guy that goes around with all the keys and winds them up every day and he's like the only one that knows all the keys. Nixon actually mentioned him as he was leaving.
