if Danny wants Jeff Green to be more of the "6th man" of the team, the 2nd units offense is going to have to be revamped from running through davis to running through green
Could it be neither, with the hope that Davis is not here next season, whenever that is? As far as I saw it, the offense ran through both Davis and Green in the second unit because they got most of the shots. Green got post ups and some isos and Davis fired away as usual. Green essentially took over Daniels' spot in the offense and per 36 minutes, averaged three more shots and half the assists. He only averaged 0.3 shots less per 36 than Ray. I don't buy that Green deferred too much.
One of the major problems with Green and Davis monopolizing the offense when they were out there was that it often relegated Ray, the supposed anchor for the second unit, to twiddling his thumbs in the corner getting hardly any shots at all. If the offense is to run through Green, he can't play like another Corey Maggette, just shooting at will. He has to be able to create for his teammates and that will also serve him well when he plays with the starters.
Again, I don't want Green to be a more aggressive player. I want him to become a smarter, more well-rounded player. I hope that's what he meant when he taking something from Pierce, Lebron and Kobe
