Our two biggest needs are a plus rebounding big and a reserve wing who can shoot.
I've been trying to figure out how to get Sacramento's J Thompson to town before the end of the KG era.
so how about S&T green and baby for JT and F Garcia.
JT could start at center or come of the bench at either C or PF. he would instantly be the most effective rebounder on the team.
Garcia is a sharpshooting 6'7" guard/ small forward who shows at least as much potential defensive potential as JG.
JG and Baby's potential salery's should match up.
 thoughts?

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
The only reason I would trade Jeff Green is if it were a clear upgrade at his position (2,3,4). Garcia is not an upgrade and will not get any better (he's 29 and in his prime). Green is 5 years younger than him. Big Baby is somewhat equivalent to Thompson (Starter material), and I would like a S&T Davis for JT, but don't add Green into the equation. In his second year in the league, he averaged ~17 ppg, while Garcia, who I would not consider a sharpshooter or a great defensive player, at most averaged ~12 ppg. It would be as if we were trading Davis and Perkins/Nate Robinson for JT and Garcia, which is horrible.

I'm all for JT and Davis, which I think is a very good idea, but let's leave Mr.Green out of this.
I like Marcus Smart

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
JT for Baby is fine with me. Thompson can start at C if JO is injured.

But let's keep Jeff Green, especially if we're just getting Jeff Garcia. Jeff Green is still in development.
