ive seen it mentioned on a couple sites that the Grizzlies might put OJ mayo on the trade block draft night...I think he's someone who danny should go after for the bench...he could provide instant scoring and possibly eventually take over for ray..

a bench with Green/OJ and Delonte running the show could provide alot of offense

I can't think of a possible trade that would work on draft night.

I wouldn't take him.  In the words of draft gurus, he has "questionable character."  We don't need any troublemakers lurking about after KG departs.  PP is not going to be able to corral people like OJ on a losing team.  Let's go after people with strong leadership skills.

Green + the 25 for Mayo + their 2nd rounder = Get it done!

No sign and trades can take place on draft night.

I don't even think that would be worth it. We NEED a backup 3, we have guards (not OJ Mayo talent however). Jeff Green is IMO better all round than Mayo, and fits in with our guys. I would welcome Mayo to our team, but not if it costs Green.

If DA pulls this out he's the ultimate genius. Darrell Arthur is a more solid player than BBD, who is more talented, but I'd rather have Arthur than him. Then, Mayo is already a great shooter, if Ray can teach him how to be a great 2-guard in the league, it's a steal.

I doubt Chris Wallace helps the Celtics, he hates them  :P

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Who exactly are our back up guards? Delonte West, who I think is too undersized to play Sg. Von Wafer, who barely played and has potential but is unconditioned. Avery Bradley, who is not there yet but has the potential to be solid, and Carlos Arroyo, who has benchwarmer written all over him for the rest of his career.

Danny traded for Jeff Green to get good backups for Ray and Paul Pierce. He said those words. OJ Mayo is a shooting guard who can give our eldest player, Ray, more time on the bench for when playoff time comes. Plus, he can play SF when Pierce comes off. Jeff Green will not excel at the guard position, while that is OJ's natural position. If we can find someway to get him, I would love that. I hope KG resigns though, to watch under Mayo, as he has a less than average reputation.
I like Marcus Smart

For the record, OJ Mayo has said he would LOVE to play with Rondo.

west, big baby and a future first sounds about right. Hopefully we could get Mayo and Josh Smith and keep Jeff Green. That would probably take us out of the running for Dwight Howard, but we could always see if pierce would take less money to free up cap space
