Don't be surprised if a cleveland-gate/orlando-gate situation happens during Austin's draft class on draft day & ainge pulls a rabbit out a hat.

But seriously, this team needs post scoring to spell KG, & Portland has said publicly they need to address their pg issue & get more off the bench post scoring to spell Aldridge.

LaMarcus is a well touted legit 4/5 that has a post game & can shoot the 3 ball when on fire. Portland may want to get his contract off their hands quicker before he demands a dirk like salary.

I say ship Jermaine back home with Rondo for LaMarcus & watch Danny dangle a huge contract over to Tyreke Evans (remember his man crush on Evans back at his draft class workouts)

Tyreke
Allen/Rivers
Pierce/Green
LaMarcus/KG
insert garbage center or jeremy tyler
(for all we know Danny may cut costs again & get a horrible center)

While we're at it, we might as well trade BBD for Nowitski and Avery Bradley and a #1 for Derrick Rose, don't you think?   ::)

Is this how POR solves the problem of getting more bench scoring to spell LA, but dealing him away, thus there is no longer a need to spell LA?

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I see how we trade for Aldridge, but I am a little hazy on how we attain Evans and Rivers - Sac is going to give away Evans for an expiring and we are going to draft Rivers? It sounds a little optimistic, but I guess you never know...

  Evans isn't really a pg.

Agreed.  Although, I think someone like Rivers is the perfect type of player to put next to him.  Rivers is skilled enough to handle the point at least part time, but also big enough to defend the SG.  He also is a good shooter, so, he can concievably thrive playing off the ball when Evans is handling it.

Obviously, it is not the traditional backcourt, but in todays NBA, with the super athletic hybrids like Evans becoming more and more prevalent, they are going to need to find more ways to make these things work.
