Sorry...not big on Rondo.

Plus I think he's one of the few on the Celtics with trade value.

In return we get a decent shooting point guard and young, athletic power forward to spell KG.

The Cavs:

A) Have a point guard in Baron Davis
B) Seem likely to draft Duke PG Kyrie Irving

They're not trading for Rondo.

This is a terrible trade.  I don't even think I would do it for Irving and Hickson.  Hickson is overrated.  13 and 8 being the focal point of the worst team in the NBA is nothing to write home about.  JO would prob post better numbers on CLE than Hickson does.

Trade never happens.

Boston would never do it.

Don't even need to look or link. RR to Cleveland for anyone on their roster won't ever happen.

When I suggested Rondo and Jermaine O'Neal for Baron Davis and Anderson Varejao as a trade I wouldn't do that was still more reasonable than a lot of the trade ideas other people were coming up with, this thread is an example of one of those horrible trades that even some sort of Frankenstein GM created from parts of the brains of David Kahn, Chris Wallace, and Isaiah Thomas wouldn't sign off on.

Rondo is one of the best values in the league locked into a reasonable contract.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
give up one of the top 5 PGs in the league for one of the worst defenders in the league (hickson) and a mediocre PG.

No thanks bro.
Danny Ainge would be burnt at the stake for this lol.

Read that last line again. One more time.

Let's see here.  You're not big on Rondo which is evident by the garbage you're trading him for.  However you state he's one of the few Celtics with trade value.    ???    But, you've compiled a trade that makes the C's far worse by acquiring nothing of real value.  This is just plain bad and makes no sense whatsoever.
