I turned off the TV immediately, because I couldn't stand watching the closeups of Lebron doing his incredible hulk impression.  But I do know that KG at least was congratulating Bosh on the last possession.
Did exactly the same, though I hear he handled the situation with a little more class than usual.

Here's what I don't get - why did LeBron get bashed so much when he did the same thing against Orlando, but the C's don't get any flack? I thought Doc, Ray and Delonte were very classy. This is usually what happens after playoff series - both teams shake hands.

Exactly.  Think about it, people talk about what a jerk Isiah Thomas is, and one of the major examples they give is 20 years ago when he ushered the rest of the Pistons off the court without shaking the Bulls hands after a playoff series.

Maybe Delonte just wanted to stick around and tell his favorite "Yo Mama" joke  :o

It is a personal preference...I don't have a problem with it either way.

As long as some representative of the team did it, I put that in good sportsmanship category.

I would have been more disappointed if everyone stayed out there and did a WWE love&respect fest.

Because Orlando players weren't celebrating like they had won the championship....I don't remember Dwight kneeling down on the court after the buzzer...I'm just surprised they didn't have confetti pouring down on the court.

But if the lack of flack is bothering you that much...go ahead and bash the team. Who is stopping you?

Of course the Heat were celebrating. They beat us. We knocked both Lebron and Wade out of the playoffs last season. We were the team they probably fixated on for most of the season. This was a big relief for them.

No point in worrying about the double standard of those who complain about Lebron not shaking hands when I have seen Pierce walk off the court without shaking anyone's hand in the past. Some people want to villainize opponents while giving their team a free pass. They want to believe our players are morally superior when they aren't actually. Ray Allen may be one of the classiest guys in the league, but Pierce is below average. This stuff doesn't bother me.

Agreed with what BFM said here, especially in the first para.

I thought that Lebron kneeling like that was odd and out of place...rehearsed....fake....for that matter I don't even remember the great Michael Jordan doing anything like that - until he actually had won something.

Lebron James hasn't won anything and won't this year, either.

As much as I try to like Lebron James - I cannot. He at times shows signs of maturity, and then he either opens his mouth or does something like "The Kneeling" like he did last night.

The best thing that he and Wade could've done last night was just shake our hands (the few Celtics that were left) and start to focus on CHI or ATL.

Save the hugging and showmanship for the locker room.

Ya, it was quick, and during the game but you could see KG shaking hands with a very surprised Chris Bosh.

Yeah I noticed this too, i was just about to post it. I was almost as surprised as Bosh was... It seemed that Pierce, KG, rondo, and JO all went to the locker room I assumed they gave a few hand shakes before the final horn but who knows. It goes either way for me, if you want to shake hands and give hugs like Ray and Delonte thats great and it shows great character. However, if you dont want to be around that atmosphere and head back to the locker room I have no problem with that either. They just lost a hard fought series and probably didnt want to be in that limelight, especially in Miami. Let them celebrate, theres no lack of respect just agony of defeat.

To be fair, Miami players were celebrating their referee-assisted 3rd NBA title for a few minutes last night. LeBron kneeled and cried for several minutes. DWade stayed in the front row for several minutes. I don't see many other players wait 3-4 minutes on the floor after losing a painful, bitter series to shake hands. The fact that Ray and Delonte stayed out there is a testament to them. Had Miami done the normal thing, which was celebrate for a few seconds, and not far away from the center of the court, I'm sure we would have shaken hands and congratulated them.
Wait they actually celebrated like that because they beat the Celtics? Lol they haven't even won yet so why are they celebrating like they won the championship. I can't stand the Lakers and their classless actions along with Kobe at times, but he would not have elaborated heck I don't think he celebrated when he first went to the finals past the second round. Hope they realize yea Chicago maybe struggling right now, but if they get it together they can cause them problems. Don't celebrate before you win the championship just ask the Spurs in 04 when they celebrated before the game was over  and Fisher right after made a clutch shot to win the game on .4 seconds if Im correct.

Well.. Delonted had to see his son before he left.

That's understandable. Ray and Doc are who they are but I had no problem with rest of the Celts leaving immediately. The Miami celebrations went on forever and they new cameras were on for close-ups.

Yea I agree with Pierce and will not take up for him since He has had classless times, but they were celebrating like they the Celtics were when they beat the lakers in 08. They don't have a trophy and they don't have another banner so why celebrate. Compose yourself and keep it moving. Celebrate in your locker room or at home ,in the club anywhere else, but don't kneel and cry like you won when you didn't. I bet the Bulls won't be kneeling and crying getting past the second round for the first time in a decade they will keep their composure celebrate on their own and keep it moving. Jordan didn't celebrate no second round win nor hasn't Kobe or this team.  Don't think the celebrating was classless just overdramatic and extra which I shouldn't be surprised about since LeBron was in it.

I don't have a problem with the Heat celebrating nor do I have a problem with the Celtics players who didn't want to wait around for them to finish. It is what it is.

Also you have no idea what happened after the game. Back in 86 I was lucky enough to be in the Celtics locker room after they won the championship (long story) and I saw a number of Houston players come in later and congradulate the Celtics players. I remember thinking it was a classy move.
