Feel bad for their fans. If the Celtics ever moved away, I'd probably go on a riot.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
It just drives me nuts that LA (essentially) is about to have their third NBA team. Do they really need another team? It just doesn't seem like the most efficient thing to do. Yes, it also stinks for Sacramento fans, but it's even more annoying they are going to LA, of all places.

I completely agree! I think somewhere like OKC needs a team! I kind of hate when cities have more than one team. This is the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" all over again. If they become the "Los Angeles Kings of Anaheim" I may gag.

And of all places to try to move them to... Anaheim. It's not even a real city!

If your going to move, move for real go to Seattle, or a bigger market.

How quickly they forget...

Man, the talent on those teams was ridiculous - Turkoglu,  Gerald Wallace, and Scot Pollard off the bench too!  It's a shame their 2002 run ended so controversially, that unit deserved a ring.

Too bad for Sacramento, the fans there were great and they deserved better.

Yeah - that was a great team, indeed.

I don't even want to remember that time. I was young, but I remember clear as day the shock and anger many had about that playoff run. After that I felt bad and have looked at the Lakers differently since. That team was good and it's sad how that team can fall so hard since.

LA doesn't need another basketball team. The people here are only starting to go to Clippers game because of Blake, but before that no one cared about the Clippers. They were the butt of jokes on the radio and on television. I remember two people talking to my french teacher about the seat prices for the Orlando-Lakers finals and saying how expensive they are. My teacher said, "If you want to go to Staples and see Orlando, go to the Clippers game." The two people laughed and said, "No I'd rather watch the Finals on tv. I won't waste my money to see a horrible team play." They were even joked about on the radio when the Lakers were struggling.

Anaheim Royals is better, i feel bad for the fans there but it's not like they're losing something that has been there forever. Sonics leaving was way worse. This is more like the Grizzlies moving to Memphis.

Looks like the Kings will stay, for at least one more season.  Good news for Sacramento fans.  Having an ex-NBA star as mayor helped a lot I think.

I don't see it like that. I see what you mean, but that was different
