Celtics had about a 4 or 5 point lead in the first quarter against a Knicks that was not only failing to connect on their shots for the most part, but were also without Melo, who was sitting on the bench with 2 early fouls.

There were a number of offensive possessions where the Celtics had at least a 4 point or better lead, and we failed to take advantage of a Knicks team that couldn't score. This hasn't just been an issue in this first playoff game against the Knicks, but it has been a consistent issue since our struggles started in March.

If the Celtics work on improving just moderately in such situations, they'd find themselves in far more comfortable situations throughout the game. They'd have cushions of at least 8 or more points. I totally thought the first quarter, the way the knicks played, and with Melo's 2 early fouls, the Celtics should have amassed at least a 12 point lead, but failed to do so.

Aside from that, I don't want to criticize the guys too much. They played an unbelievable game tonight. Not all of it was pretty to watch, but a win is a win, and you guys got the win!

I agree. Remember the Heat game from last week? We can't get comfortable; we need to just ATTACK and make those leads as big as possible.

We had 18 turnovers for the game...need to limit these if we want to extend any lead.

There half court offense looked down right confused. Were the Knicks doing something surprising? Tommy and Mike knew that Billups would be playing off Rondo, so that cannot be the surprise, right?
