Sheed will have my unending admiration and gratitude for his play in game 7 last year. He was asked to play more minutes since Perk went down. The man left everything he possibly had out on the court that night.  You could not ask for more effort from a player.

You could have asked him to be in better shape going in to the playoffs so he'd have a little more to give. Just sayin...

You could say the same thing two fold for Ray "The Body" Allen. At least Sheed showed up...
Never stop believing baby~

Too bad he sucked most of the year.  I'm not giving anyone unending admiration for what they do in one particular game.

Yes because it's easier to forget how good Sheed was against Cleveland, Orlando and for the most part in the Lakers series. We all know that Sheed should have given 100% effort against the Raptors or Nets in January and November but not given it all in a game 7 of the Finals because if a game doesn't matter, it has to be this one. ::)

You must be talking about the 6pts on 40% shooting to go with the whopping 3 rebounds per game Rasheed gave us in the playoffs.  Amazing production.

You could say the same thing two fold for Ray "The Body" Allen. At least Sheed showed up...
Ray showed up, he just got clocked in the thigh by Artest during Game 3, and wasn't the same afterwards.

And Jermaine would have dominated except for the fact that he got kicked in the foot...

LOL and you think that's not a legitimate excuse for an injury?
Reports shown that Rays injured thigh was almost twice the size of his other thigh. He just gutted it out. Try running 94ft back and forth coming off screens with that injury

I was being sarcastic comparing Ray to Jermaine.  Totally different sets of testicles.  I'm sure Ray gutted it out.

Well of course if you looks at the stats only you won't get blown away. Big Baby's stats in the playoffs weren't impressive either, would you say he didn't make a very good positive impact when he was playing though?

I'm just so sick of this Sheed revisionist history that says he only contributed in game 7. Go look back at all the big games we played throughout the playoffs, you will find a lot of stretches where Sheed played a huge part in either extending a good lead or securing our lead at the end of games. I don't have all examples in mind (and there are many) but from the top of my head I have game 2 against Cleveland in the first half where he scored 13 points in like, 5 minutes, game 6 against Cleveland when Sheed made a huge three (or maybe even two) and a huge steal in the 4th when the Cavs were making a dangerous run, game 1 against Orlando where he hit huge shots too (not to mention his great D on Howard throughout the entire series), game 4 against L.A in the 4th, etc.

But yeah, blame him for being out of shape and "tanking" all year long, it's fair since he didn't contribute at all in the playoffs, we all know that. ::)

I thought his best moments were in the ECF when he completely got into Dwight Howard's head. He stole the ball from him repeatedly and then when he was beat he hammered Howard. Overall the rotation of Perkins/Sheed/Baby kept Howard from having enough of an offensive impact for Orlando to win that series.
