Is it good news really? Look, Shaq at 100% wasn't that impressive. At 50% last night vs. Detroit he was so-so. Now even if he can play he'll be 30%. Is this what we're pinning our hopes on. No, the Cs have to compose themselves and know they're it. No cavalry at the 11th hour.

Everyone knows my opinion of the trade, but I do think you're being too hard on Shaq.  When he was 100%, he was a very good contributor here, in my opinion.  He struggled at certain aspects of defense, but his offense was very good, as was his rebounding.  Last night, I thought his offense looked very good.

Now, I'm worried about his health for the rest of the year, and I'm a bit skeptical that he'll be 100% again.  However, if he can play effectively, I think he'll be a very strong asset in our playoff push.

I'll take him at 75%.  They just need him to rebound and keep the defense honest on offense.  The key is just getting him on the court.

If Shaq can provide 15-20 mins, I'll be happy.  I really like the idea of him starting with the first unit, and helping to get the opposing team's big man in foul trouble.
Celtics fan for life.

I attended January 14th's game against the Charlotte Bobcats. It was Shaq's best game as a Celtic, and let me tell you, Shaq is beyond impressive at 100% (which he was not 100% even at that point), and he was impressive in 5 minutes of action last night (6 points is what Perk usually scores in a whole game). Where are you getting your percentages and facts from anyways?

I'd have to agree with screwedupmaniac here. He certainly was impressive, and despite the arbitrary percentages on Shaq's health, he still proved to be a difference maker. Even the energy he instills in his other teammates is noticeable.
