Might of been something as simple as...

'Hey Danny, is my pinkie supposed to bend this way?  I've been meaning to have it checked, but i've been playing all these minutes.. I havent had time..'

He wanted JO too, at least enough to call him and recruit him according to a JO interview.  You can probably blame Rondo for JO  :P
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I think people are reading way too much into the comment.  It was widely reported the C's were potentially looking for a backup point guard around the trade deadline.  They weren't necessarily looking for one earlier in the year when West went down because they had faith in Nate at the time.

Players make suggestions all the time during practices.  It's not as if Rondo walked into Ainge's office and said listen we need to make this move.

This.

Absolutely, this is not anything important.  But I think it would be an interesting angle for a story if someone had inside information that Rondo specifically suggested Arroyo.  Is it because of playing against him in the past?  Maybe he knows him personally?  He just admires his game?  Or was it just a simple case that there was no one better?

I think these are the type of stories we miss out on as fans, now that the really resourceful and connected reporters like McMullen and Ryan don't cover the C's regularly, and the new guys are either sloppy, or simply not very connected.

McMullen also referenced in a podcast with the Bill Simmons, that part of the reason Erden was traded was because the C's were not thrilled with his work ethic.  But, that story is too small for her, and no one who actually would be able to write that story has the info to do it, even though I think a lot of us would love to hear more about that.
