If Shaq (gave effort), Z, AV, Dwest, and Mo was still playing for them, I bet that they would be about .500 team. They wouldn't contend w/o LeBron but it would not be all that bad, especially since the new system doesn't revolve around one player. If LeBron was the only missing piece from last season I know they could be at the least 8th seed! "KarmaGate" goes to show how big of an ego boost the Cavs bad playing is for LeBron. His ego is bigger than his play/will to win... I hope it bites him in his butt. Some of these comments mimic LeBrons thoughts... he wins alone while carrying his teammates on his back. Reason why I like the Celtics (aside from Shaq), they realize it takes a TEAM... of course some players are more vital than others but you can't win with ONE player!

Lebron figured out the same thing and bolted for a team with more talent.  It just doesn't have talent at two important spots (yet)

The team is comprised of role players, ranging from bad to above average/good (role players).
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I honestly thought they could challenge some teams for the 8 seed in the East, ultimately finishing in the low 30's for wins.

Boy was I wrong.

I thought the same thing, I didnt think LeBron instantly could make the worst team in the league the best.

Guess I was wrong too.

I disagree.

1 quality starter (elite role player) in Varejão.

A couple of quality backups (6th - 8th  men type of player) - Jamison (who can also be a modest starter under the right conditions), Mo Williams, maybe Parker, Moon, Sessions and Hickson (very flawed players though - put together, they wouldn't make a quality bench unit, not enough defensive prowess).

A handful of borderline rotation players.

A few borderline NBA players.

A team without a single quality defender outside of Varejão and plenty of defensive sieves.

One of the worst teams ever assembled, especially after Varejão's injury.
