Doubt it's even in Ainge's consideration set....but would Memphis be interested in Nate plus a filler?  Salaries are fairly close...  They have no real back-up point to Conley, and are probably tired of OJ's antics.  We'd have DWest and Marquis as back-up points, with Marquis obviously able to play multiple positions....

The Memphis Grizzlies are dangling guard O.J. Mayo(notes) in trade talks, but one NBA general manager said they’re asking too much for him. The Grizzlies want a player who’s ready to contribute now and improve their chances of making the playoffs

I'm not sure I'd buy him for free.

I don't see anything that we willing to give that they would want.

They want something real for him because he's a capable starter on most teams and has potential to be more.  They're obviously not gonna be happy with anything that's gonna be offered to them but it's almost certain that Nate doesn't even match up to the unsatisfying offers they're getting.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

It's a nice thought but the asking price for Mayo is real steep since he was a 1st round pick and still could be great in this league. Not sure we have anything to offer them really that would be worth it. They'd ask for like Rondo, Nate, 1st rounder and probably someone or something else. A huge gamble for a team who right now has the 2nd best record in the league.

That's crazy, he's got serious potential

I really liked Mayo before this season but these reports about his behavior are concerning.

Before the only part about him that I didnt like was his defensive struggles. However I always thought he was a good kid who worked really hard on his game. Now Im not so sure...

They would never trade him for Nate though. Convo prob starts with Big Baby and a 1st round pick.

sounds like a knucklehead, but he can play...Nate has been fine here so I would expect Mayo would do the same.

Not sure what the asking price would be. I would be willing to move a #1 pick, Bradley + salary to get him. not willing to move Baby.

we're going to be contenders for the next three seasons, so a #1 pick shouldn't be too hard to give up.

How about the following:

TA
Arthur

for

Robinson
Harangody

It's obvious that the Grizz are conceding that they made a mistake by signing Allen. This trade allows them to get rid of his 3 yr deal.

We get a player that already knows the system and, although a bit undersized, has the ability to defend most 3's. Arthur is quietly having a nice year and he's actually a few months younger than Luke. He is in a contract year and perhaps could be a fallback option, should re-signing Baby prove to be too costly.
