HAHAHAHA TP for you! That must have been what happened with MVP last season.

First time I have heard that Manning should get consideration but isnt.  Please see the flowchart below.

Brady and Vick certainly are the front runners, but I've got my eye on Matt Ryan who could be a dark horse.  The guys has phenomenal stats and if he beats the saints tonight will have a 14-2 record.

13-2 record, and his stats are not nearly as good as Vick's or Brady's. In large part this is because he doesn't throw nearly as much, instead they lean on Michael Turner and build around him offensively.

Its hard for me to advance a QB as a MVP canidate when they're not the primary option offensively.

If he beats the saints tonight he will have a 13-2 record. Matt Ryan is good, no doubt... But while Brady opens up the running game for a guy like Green-Ellis, its probably safe to say that Michael Turner opens up the passing game for Matt Ryan. Matty Ice also has better weapons in Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez, while Brady is working with 2 rookie tight ends (who have played great), a slot receiver coming off major knee surgery, a guy who was irrelevant the past few seasons with a certain NFC team out west, and a couple other nobodies.

After tonights game, can we now eliminate Matt Ryan from this discussion?

Gotta be Brady, but Vick is a legitimate candidate. His passer rating is only about 5 points lower than Brady's, and he's got 600 yards + 8TDs on the ground. And the Eagles are playoff bound.

That said, I don't think you can beat 1st round bye + longest no interception streak in history + highest passer rating + playing 4 more games + dominating in the snow etc.

On a related note, I'm sick of the Vick redemption love. He served his time and has a right to play again, but why in God's name is it so hip to like the guy now that he's back??? Wow, congrats on resuming your lucrative football career and not starting another dog fighting ring.

The fact that he spent two years of his prime in prison only to return as an even better (unstoppable at times) football player is very impressive. He must have figured something out when he was away. Prison actually worked for Mike Vick, He has been rehabilitated. Its a nice story.

They have been saying he has matured.  I guess in Atlanta he was the last guy in the building and first guy out.  Now he isnt.  He is spending alot more time in the film room doing his homework to understand defenses.  He has always had the physical tools with both his arm and his legs, but he is starting to train his mind correctly now too which makes him a real tripple threat.

Unless Brady has a bad loss next week and Vick has an awesome win and it stays like that for a little bit I think it goes Brady by a handful.

He just broke the record for most passes without an INT and has a young team at best in the league.

I want Brady just so he can get up and be like "Oh hey Peyton. Look. I almost have as many MVP trophies as you now. And you have nowhere near as many rings as me!"

After this week's games, it pretty much locks things up for Brady.

Brady wins it.  If Vick didn't miss 4 games he may have had a chance to win it, but he didn't.  Regardless, of this loss for Philly, I do think we're going to see them in the super bowl.  Vick has been great for 11 games, but he missed 4, missing 4 games in the nfl is no good and puts him out of the discussion for MVP
do it

I didnt watch the Eagles/Vikings game earlier, but from what I've heard Vick committed 3 turnovers. How long has it been since Brady has even committed 1? Your right, this weeks games pretty much locks it up.

Looks like Vick got hurt last night and his play really suffered because of it.  But yes, I think if Brady goes out on sunday, plays a solid first half and then sits the second half everything is good to go for his second MVP.
