Son said he just saw on Channel 7 news that Delonte will miss 3-4 months.

True, Chris.  He has to wait until Dec. 15th to trade the contracts he signed this offseason.

Play some golf, Danny.  Until 12/15, anyway...

Its all speculation at this point, but this is basically what Doc has been saying as well.  They are not counting on him at all at this point, and are just hoping he will be back for the playoffs.

Of course, it could change if things heal quickly, but its probably just better off to not get your hopes up.

Ugh...the most important ability is avail-ability.

Delonte and VW both have non-guaranteed contracts.  As much as I love Delonte's game, we need a backup guard that is rotation-worthy AND actually available to play.  Ditto for backup center.

I'd be taking calls...

Danny never said he isn't taking calls.  He is always taking calls.  He just is not actively seeking someone yet.

I think this team is still just fine the way they are. Wafer has a few weeks to prove he can step it up and fill the hole Delonte is leaving.  If he fails, then I am sure Danny will change his tune.  But for the moment, there is no need to panic. 

Rondo will be back in the next couple games, and at that point, they will have plenty of depth for now. 

Danny can always reevaluate things later if more injuries happen, or if talented guys become available either as vet minimum FA's, or in reasonable trades.  But for now, there is no need for him to panic, as they are still one of the deepest teams in the league.
