He  is a very bright prospect with a clitch big time background and a much better long term prospect than Wafer

Let's see if I can break this down in using an equation:

Deepest team in the league would not want a player that couldn't make one of the least deepest teams in the league.

I'm not trying to be a jerk I just find the reality of very low.

Da'Sean is injured and wasn't able to play, why he got cut. My bad, isn't DA's 1st rd draft choice injured as well right now?

On the other hand, if Wafer were cut tomorrow, would anyone panic?
Not me.  The Celtics depth might actually do the opposite of what you're thinking in this case.  Miami can't afford a non-contributor (injured rookie) because they've got too many borderline contributors as it is.  The Celtics are stacked with contributors, and might therefore be able to afford a 2010/2011 non-contributor in the hopes of a big dividend down the road....

If, on the other hand, Danny likes Wafer's potential going forward past this year, and isn't worried about his intangibles, then replacing Wafer at this point with an injured rookie wouldn't make much sense....

We don't exactly know what the Celtics think of this Wafer guy, other than that Quis and Delonte may need a fill-in from time to time.....

All depends what they think of Wafer's potential (and obviously Danny's pre-injury evaluation of Butler's game....)

And that means what?  He was hurt when they drafted him and they have little to no need rushing him back.  Your eye for talent for both players and GMs is suspect at best.
