Team lacks balance. Daniels and Pierce are not natural SF's. Both have spent a lot of time at SG and Pierce was listed as G/F for most of his career. Pierce is a SF now; but Marquis lacks his length and neither has much leaping ability at this stage. We are not doing ourselves any favors by sticking with Wafer. I really hope he is just a temporary solution (and bringing back Bill Walker is not the solution either - but he is better than Wafer).

Im sorry but that is a joke! Pierce was the best SF in the NBA before Bron and Melo came along! Not even as a rookie did Pierce have the body of a Shooting guard. He has always been a SF.
Daniels : same deal! he is not athletic enough to chase SG like Ray,Monta,Gordon,Rip. We are set at SF and I think Von will be a big part of our team this season, Ray loves his game.

Pierce is a SF, but he could play SG. In the 2008 Finals, he stepped up and guarded the best SG in the league.

Daniels can play both too. He is quick enough to stay with must SG's. He may not be strong enough to handle SF's in the post, but he definitely had the length.

Players like Ray and Rip work through various screens. Even Wade and Kobe have trouble staying with them, and they are regarded as two of the best defenders at the position.

After game #10, I'd be surprised if we saw a lot of Wafer, besides the occasional shooter lineup, or because of foul trouble or an injury. But he should see ~15 MPG to start the season.

Lasme's not coming back.  If we get rid of Wafer for anyone it will be for a guy who's cut near the deadline.

Wafer's a headcase who has the potential to be enough of a pain that he could be cut just for being a distraction.  He strikes me as the kind of guy who would whine about minutes and maybe even think he should be given a shot at starting if Ray Allen has a prolonged shooting slump.

Depending on need, Lasme and Mario West are likely to be guys stashed in Maine who could be short-term solutions that might get cut in favor of someone else who is waived near the deadline.  So, I wouldn't at all be shocked if Lasme is on the roster in December.  Or earlier.

I expect after the first 10 days their plan is to give Wafer the Nate treatment from last year to see if he responds.  I also expect that he won't be able to make the adjustment and he'll be replaced by someone else (not Lasme) by the new year.

The likelihood of West and Daniels being unavailable at the same time is pretty good, so I think Wafer is safe until Bradley is up to speed and/or they come up with a better wing alternative, however.

Yup, I guess Phoenix can use an athletic big more than the C's.  Good luck Lasme and all the best to you!
